Thread: Ok i got glowy... now what?

As I understand it you get "Glowy" (not an actual Aura... it is a system message you get with the /checkforcestatus command that says "You have an inner glow. The Force Is With You.")
Then you just go about your business and wait for some old guy (lovingly named "An old man") to talk to you and give you a weird cryastal (Force Crystal oooohoooh) and then what. i was told i'm waiting for a few sith jedi to attack me and kill me repeatedly. how long does it take from old guy to dieing by sith (well to be more specific... how long from old guy to sith attack? because i kow from sith attack to dieing will be about 3 to 10 seconds)
don't get me wrong i am a vet player i've been playing since game release but i took a sebatical (time off) about march 05 and just got on three weeks ago /respec'd to MBH then soloed the warren to get glowy i was visited by the old man last night and i still couldn't get in the FS village (i have a waypoint) so the combat upgrade is still new to me and i'm wondering how long should i expect to wait for the sith attack.
AFTERTHOUGHT: i didn't time it but i would like the next person that gets glowy from the instant you get your last badge to get glowy, time it, i was close but i could swear that it was EXACTLY 36 hours from getting glowy that i was visited by the old man.

I recently got glowy with one of my characters. it was on a tuesday night, the old man didnt arrive till friday and the sith didnt arrive till monday (3 days each wait).
i think it is a bit random, but like you my first character was 24-48 hours for each wait.

I just became force sensitive wednesday. I just had my visit from the old man today. The sith attacked me about 30 minutes later. It's entirely random.

heheh when I got glowy on my alt... the old man came ot me just as I was preparing to pvp... a day later, I was pvping, I was about halfway through killing someone when hte Sith ambushed me

great thanks guys so it is entirely random even more than the old man. i got glowy on sunday night visited by the old guy thursday night. (almost exactly 48 hours) just so that the sith attack today i'm sick of waiting to get to the FS village. then we got to wait for the old man again to go to the padawan trials.

Before publish 24 it was on a 72 hour timer, I dont know if that has changed since. Its also better to hang out in a player city or the wilds they dont seem to pop up in NPC cities as easily. Good luck and enjoy yourself!

this is true spend a little time in a NOPC city as possible while waiting for the old man and sith visits they seem to not like the area or servers or something.
i was in a player city about to purchase my next shuttle ticket when the old man found me. he was very poilte and waited until i was done on the terminal
