Force Sensitive Archive
Thread: WOW! I solo'd the commander quest.
Did it solo a few mornings ago. Didn't have ANY problems. Might be the way to go.
Thank you.
I can say the timer thing is wrong. I have been force sensitive since 2 weeks after the devs came up with the village. I just never was excited about jedi, untill now. I did the captains quest twice before but died both times. I rember alot of old post about it and how to do it. First of all the quest is not bugged. Not that i can see anyway. I cant remeber if the cap moved faster along time ago or not. I took the health buff crystal right before i droped the shields. I had the turrets out at that time... thanks to my Greater Sludge Panthers ( used 3 of them to do the turrets i stood on the backside of the base, they cant target you when you are on the back side) I sent the cats to do the dirty work on the turrets then I went to the front and used the health buff crystal. I dropped the shield sent the pets on the front gate and used pistol on it as well. The sith were on their way in the mean time. The gate blew up and the cats went for the sith as i went and blasted the other gate ( The cats already took out the turret hidden inside the base as well before dropping the shields). The sith despawned i held the cats in the base and waited for the sith respawn. When the sith respawned I went to front entry targeted one gave him bleed shot and let him come in after me alone. When he turned the corner me and cats were waiting (rinse and recycle 4 more times). Then thecommander spawned, I waited for the sith outside to despawn then away we went.
The reason I KNOW the captain is not on a 1 hour timer is : When i got thecommander back to village I had 14 minutes left on my crystal. Anyone that knows or has one, the crystal has a two hour buff.
This is what I do remeber from the past : First is ... If the sith get too close to the commander they urge him not to help the Aurillians.
At that point or if he gets away for too long he will poisen himself.
I hope this helps some people out, oh by the way i used my cats on sith and kept myself out of combat as much as possible keeping an eye on the commander. I got in combat one time because the sith warped close to me and i had to fight, I had to recapture the commander real quick but the sith did not tell the commander anyting at that point.
I also did this solo and let me say that even melee can pull this off if you really want to. Both my lack of patience and stumbling upon an empty spawned theta (closest on Bloodfin) base this morning led me to attempt this. The only trick I used was an R2 droid...no more...no less.
My template is MTK/MS 4xxx Doc. This is what I did...
- Dropped the shields with remote
- Threw up COB and heal over time and burst ran to the turrets. They went down pretty fast with a PH.
- Took out the first gate just as Sith guardsreached the front. I'm still not sure how I made it inside without aggro but I was lucky.
- Dropped the second gate and captured the commander. I burst ran back out just after the sith standing out front despawned. I went just out of aggro range and waited for the commander to walk out.
- At first things were easy enough during the walk but the commander started turning around alot on non-even terrain. I had heard people thought they did better with someone following the commander so I decided to try putting one of my astromech R2's on him set to follow. This fixed everything and he never turned away from me again for the rest of the trip.
- Some of the Sith that spawned never seemed to get close and some did. I just stopped and killed the ones that posed a threat. The commander never left my side once I stuck my droid on him.
- The rest is history, just a very long walk. Easy enough
