Thread: Any Suggestions on a Good FS Grind Template?
MBH/TKM (I think this has rifles, carbs, pistols, UA and a 650k combat xp cap)
MCommando/TKM (I think this has a 1.2 mil combat xp cap?)
At the moment I am TKM/MHS/Pikes/Mbrawler and I make 200k fs xp every trip.
Any of you guys ahve any suggestions, I am still in my respec period so I can switch.

The best template for grinding FS is Master Bounty Hunter, Master Rifleman, rest in medic.
Because....
MBH has HUGE weapons and combat xp caps
MRM is helpful when you get padawan and need to protect yourself
Medic heals you... duh

What're the caps? Do the weapons cap at 1.2 mil like other master combat profs?
I can see what your saying about 7 different caps but do you actually find your self capping scout, medic, and investigationeach run?
Losing things like meditate, innate armor, next to no weapon upkeep, and the factthat I've been primarily melee for my entire swg career makes my a little jumpy about this drastic of change. Though if it makes the fs grind a little less painful then I'm all for it. Wrapping up Jedi is my only focus now as its the one thing I've yet to finish.
With Rifleman/BH the caps are...
Combat XP: 900,000 (awesome!)
Carbine XP: 900,000
Pistol XP: 900,000
Rifle XP: 1.2 million
master BH/ Rifles is my choise also, but only for the rifle, carbine, pistol, combat caps
The rest are close to useless:
If you plan on capping investigation each time before swooping up to the village, prepare to use 2 years to become padawan. It's not worth it, takes too long for each mark. Now the good part is that if you are also destroying bases or actually activly hunting jerdeye inbetween the grind, like myself. Then you can actually convert the investigation xp when you drop by the village. At 5-1 convertion it is depressing even to do so...
At scout 4-0-0-0 which you need for BH you cap at about 30k scouting xp, which means 2k fs xp I think each time, I don't even bother to harvest, just keep shooting.
One thing that amazes me though when people are trying to be very efficient in their grind for fast fs xp they seem to spend more time finding aoe groups or investigation xp or whatever corny trick they thought off. Now if I join a regular lvl 60-80 group and take down the lairs the old fashion way I will very often come back to the city after 2 hours and halfway capped and still the spammers are standing there: "looking for high lvl aoe group"I'm almost capped!
My point is, look for efficiency in numbers off hours spent in front off the computer, cause the statement: "I cap rifles at 1,2 mil in 45 minutes" are rarely true. The preparations take too long, finding the good aoe group and the rare cm or whatever you need to do.
I also never cap combat xp as BH/rifleman. Why? Well, that means wasting a huge number of rifle xp or pistols xp, so this is as far from efficient as you can get. When my 3 weapons are caped I have something like 300k combat, so it's not that bad anyway, makes the trip up to the village worth the while hehe

Sort of correct. Our guild can lay waste to a lair of humbaba's or huf duns (cl82) in record time. I have seen our group take out lairs in a matter of minutes, with great xp gains. You just need to find a guild that knows how to hunt.
As for the additional ranged weapon prof. I think this is a good idea for two types of people. A) People who primarly or solely want combat/reflex fs xp. and B) People who want the specials provided to increase their effectivness. If all you want to do is grind fs xp and you also need sense xp you'd be better off picking up MRanger or something like that.
Personally I went with: MBH,MP,CM4000
This gives me:
900k Rifle Com/Ref
900k Carbine Com/Ref
1.2m Pistol Com/Ref
900k Combat Com/Ref
75k Scout Sense
1.2m Medical Sense
This isn't the best fs temp by any means, but it works ok for my needs. With the 4xxx CM i can step back and work as a decent healer for the group or I can step up with weapons and deal decent damage. Also, it's a fairly decent temp for actually going out and enjoying the game on ocassion.
