Thread: After 72 hours and no old man so now what?

Thursday evening I started Glowing it's now Sunday 2 am and I didn't get a visit from the old man. I tried the stuff in one of the FS faqs, I played normally notjust waiting for the old man even grinded Novice Bounty hunter, BH 0-1-0-0, Novice Sowrds man and Novice CH in that time. So now what do I do? Keep waiting?

Forget the old man....get the wp to the village and show up...then just talk to the elder and mention you lost your crystal.

Heh, if you take Blacknights' advice, just hope that you can talk to the elder after being stopped at the foggy shroud.

After I posted this went to do a bounty and the old man runs up to me. I wasn't looking expecting an npc to run up to me so I was about to run away lol

Keep waiting. Shuttle to player cities. Both times the old man appeared for me were at player city shuttleports.

Um...it hasn't been 72 hours yet....
Thursday evening to Friday evening 24 hours
Friday evening to Saturday evening 48 hours
Saturday evening to Sunday evening 72 hours
So, unless you started glowing at 2 a.m. Thursday, be patient. Just keep doing your thing, he will show up.
And if you think waiting for the old man is bad, wait until you start grinding FS xp and waiting to unlock branches.
Jedi is a slow process. Be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting.

That happened to me with the Sith thugs, actually.. I was incapped by my mark a split second after the thugs showed up... I thought one or the other was going to slay me, but they actually started fighting each other.. Quite hilarious.. It seems that the Old Man and Sith usually show up when you're NOT waiting for them or expect them.

A good, perhaps cheap trick, is get up reaaaaallllyyyy early in the morning and watch your server come up. As soon as that baby says online, hit enter and cross your fingers.

After a six month break I came back last week andI finally hit glowy yesterday. A couple points thay may help those that are still way behind like me:
- My /check was bugged. I had every POI badge, 9 professions, both warren badges, Imp theme park, Nym's theme park and it said "barely sense something different" which is the level 2 message. I then did Jabba's and *BING* Glowy.
- I didn't do any of the shuttling around waiting for the old man. I didn't go near any player cities. This has taken so long to do I wasn't really in a hurry lo.I just messed around with JTL, blowing stuff up. Then I traveled to Dantooine Imp outpost, walked over to the bank terminal and the old man chased me down there. was about 24 hours after I got glowy.
