hmm after attempting the phase 3 capture the commander quest many times and always getting incapped by turrets i decided to try one more time. First i picked a base that was off the beaten track (6500k from village so i could avoid all the other groups waiting around). When i got there i used a rifle (even though im a melee character) to kill the turrets (i think its lucky if you get non-buggy turrets) then i did the same to pull and kill 5 sith. Once the commander spawned i shot the gate then i waited. After waiting for a while i noticed the sith guard would de-spawn every five minutes leavng a 30 odd second gap through which i entered the base and killed the final turret. Once inside i destroyed the inner gate then i waited some more for the sith guards outside to de-spawn again. As soon as they did i captured the commander and burst ran outside and got behind the wall. Eventually the commander caught up. I started walking toward the village (6500k away) i walked and i walked and i walked some more. Along the way i took detours to avoid monsters and killed many sith pirates that came to rescue the commander. after much walking i was within 2000k of the village and had that home stretch feeling. As i was wondering along with the commander 50m behind me i got a message that i had failed the mission because he had poisoned himself. i mean W.T.F is that all about. Ive only failed this mission about ten times now and i finally got lucky and found a base that did not have buggy turrets. i did everything perfectly, and yet i got punished, there was nothing i could do to complete this mission. It is really true that only the two closest camps are possible and with those you have to wait a very long time before you can even attempt. FFS SOE sort this f**king sh*t out.

End rant and many apologies if i have offended anyone (except SOE dev's who really need to start using their QA team a bit more before allowing their bug ridden code to be uploaded to public servers)

you have to stay quite close to him, 20-30mins...
