I've tried it a couple of times myself, and watched others try it, and even helped out a time or two and I can't see that anything is working as intended. A few examples...

  1. The turrets hit for 550 damage regardless of armor or PSG, and hit far beyond normal ranges

  2. I watched one poor sot have to recapture the commander 5 times before leaving my overhead map as I looked out over the base. The last time, he warped back INTO the base, meaning the player had to once again brave all the Sith thugs, bringing us to point 3...

  3. The endless spawns of Sith Thugs that continuously show up to stream towards the base and all stand IN THE SAME SPOT...

  4. Only 3 bases can be used for this mission, those that are closest, making it near impossible to complete the mission since everyone trys for the same three bases andthe timer for the mission is just too restrictive.

This is, by far, an extremely difficult mission. Its made worse with the bugs. Its also 10 times worse than any other village phase quest making me wonder what the heck is going on.....

Bring it back in line with other village quest difficulties. Doing so would be easy.....

  1. There should be a finite number of reinforcements, enabling a quest taker to defeat ALL reinforcements before capturing the commander.

  2. Remove the timer. It renders all but the three closest bases useless.

  3. Fix the commander's movement, and reduce the "escape attempts". Both of these problems are flat out ignorant. If the jerk is going to walk, at least give him ranger level terrain negotiation, otherwise make him run.

  4. Do something about the freaking turrets.

7/28 is last day.

The lure of a fixed and balanced game has yet to materialize. Hopefully the Devs get the idea that massive amounts of content doesn't mean anything if most of it is bugged or out of balance.

Later Gray..

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

I feel bad for two reasons. One, I was the one who convinced my brother to come back based on the initial promise of the CU and Two because I am really close to following him out the door andending a more than two year relationship with this game

I'm tired of bugs that have lingered since launch. Sure, they aren't earth-shattering bugs, but they've been around so long now that I don't know if they can even BE fixed. You know, like the bug that causes you to jump around the listings when trying to restock vendors from the storeroom.

I'm sickened that, to compete in PvP, I have to have a Jedi. To stand any chance at suceeding in a lot of the content, I have to have a Jedi or be grouped with one. I'm sickened that, in a time that Jedi have been hunted to extinction in the EU timeline, the only control on Jedi (namely Bounties) is being not only nerfed to uselessness but near non-existant on a whole planet, giving these same Jedi a free pass to Master-hood. Yeah, I'm doing the FS quests but that still doesn't make me happy about the state this game is in.

I'm sickened that communication is non-existant. Not counting communications with certain Dev's pet professions, we get nothing about bugs, whether they are being worked on, the status of hot-fixes.....nothing. We get fluff and non-commitment.

This mission is simply one of the many problems, old and new, that infect this game. This one has been an issue for months and yet we hear nothing.

As long as there is a shred of hope, I'll stick around. But those shreds are fewer and fewer with each publish that only fixes new bug and each bit of added content that appears to only be designed to draw our attention away from the problems. I urge the Dev's to hear the community and to talk to us about these problems, and to concentrate on fixing all that is broken before adding anything else to this game.
