Pretty much nothing...

Lowers the credit cost on trainers and junk dealers.

It lowers the cost of training, yes, but other aspects are helpful. I don't get searched by stormtroopers nearly as much. As an Imp, I can get Reb NPCs fight for me. An example, I was killing some Mokks at the stronghold and hit a Rockshaper to which I cannot do any dmg to. While trying to get her off my butt, I saw some rebel NPCs standing nearby. I drug her over to them and they started whacking at her. Rebs....fighting for an Imp... Was great to see! LOL Also, I can often walk through Reb NPCs while I have a TEF and they don't do anything to me *hehe* Unless I shoot first. Hope this helps

Ok my tests are as follows:

Persuasion:

Box one of 4: Not much change, I get a slight reduction in training cost... barely noticeable. Still getting searched, passing about 1 out of 10 Scans with "This one is clean, move along". And I have spice and some sliced weapons in my pack. Imperial, Rank- Private.

Box two of 4: A major change.Still getting searched, but passing about 1 out ofevery 2 Scans with "This one is clean, move along". And I have spice and some sliced weaponsin my pack. Imperial, Rank- Private.

Here I thought... oh this is getting good. "it can only get better..."

Wrong...

Box 3 of 4: (POST Imperial Crackdown Update recently)

Still getting searched, passing NO Scans with "This one is clean, move along". Every time I was stopped and searched, I was found holding illegal items and fined. And I have spice and some sliced weapons. Imperial, Rank- Private.

Wow... is it the crackdown update? Did the DEVS in a rush to make things harder on the Rebellion, did they forget to code things in for use force sensitives who should see SOME benifit from our force tuned persuasiveness?

Could we get SOME way of tracking that this skill is ACTUALLY working? Can we please get some love? I know it's not the "hand wave" that the jedi use to bring the full bearing of the force apon a weak mind but for the love of Saint Lucas, Persuasion DOES NOTHING INTERESTING OR USEFUL!!

Case point. Melee speed = major noticeable effects + completely useful. Melee defence =noticeable effects + completely useful. Persuasion = 20% off training fees (in the combat + loot driven game that SWG is, that's pointless). non aligned NPCs will help you in fights. (In reality, they will simply take the looing rights... by the time you're force sensitive, how much combat help do we really need? Me? None in PvE) It's more of a joke to watch large firefights by dragging an aggro mob into a huge pack of stormies or rebels.

Can we see persuasion do SOMETHING FUN? We're not asking for a fireworks show, or jedi hand waving, but if our character would just say somehting, and then the NPCs reacted to it, (for better or worse) we'd at least get that treat and know we did'nt waste hours apon hours grinding medical XP for this skill...

agree all the way

Persuasion is a tree that requires like others , a vasssssssssssssssssssst amount of xp to gain.

This skill in terms of its usefulness, should be on a par with others !

Other then the lower training costs, I haven't been popped overt while being scanned since getting Persuasion IV and I've been scanned a couple dozen times. Prior to having any, I was overted almostevery time. I am a Rebel Colonel. Chance? Maybe, but I believe its the persuasion.

I love this skill. As a Staff Sgt in the Rebel army when i got my first box the times i would get found out as a Rebel Operator was cut by Half. When I learned the second I have Imperials giving me missions and what not without question.

Now im about 29 caps away from my Thrid Box but I think it awsome skill i can get by anything now pretty much. Wearing all Sliced armour and guns with a big Rebel sign over me I love it!!!
