Before I send a /bug and a ticket I wanted your feedback.

I have killed Melachae, got a system message that I was able to start "your quest for padawan".

The faq states you're supposed to get a waypoint to the nearest shrine. I didn't, but I found a shrine location on the message board. I am actually there now, trying to meditate - radial menu, "meditate".

And here is the however... it says, "to meditate at the shrine you must do so respectfully".

What is going on here?

you must /kneel then meditate

Make sure you are kneeling when you select 'meditate', thats the respectfully part, I think.

I should've searched the forum before I cluttered it with junk posts. I am so sorry. I don't usually do that.

The answer is /kneel before meditate, yes I know that now.

I was so nervous when I didn't get the waypoint after killing melachea, I soloed him, and it took several hours, almost.

Would you mind informing us on what method you used to solo the Great and Powerful Mellichae?

any chance u from bria? cuz i ran into some1's melache mission and there was only 1 person out there.... when i did it i had 5 jedi 4 rifleman 4 tanks and me took like 10mins

solo'ed the malachai ... damn how did u do that... i think you need atleast a PSG with LS resist to do that...

I would recommend doing this mission with a group...I have helped several people do this quest, and it is much more fun with a group. With that said though, when it was my turn to face him I was able to solo Mel as MDoc/MSwords...here is how:

1) This seemed key: get yourselfa combat droid (A pet might work too, but I used a droid).

2) Start by taking out as many crystals (start with the green ones) as you can without aggroing mobs (I managed two).

3) Hop on swoop, and draw mobs one or two at a time away from the camp. You are looking to get Mel aggroed on you...once he is heading towardsyou, then hightail it out of there. Since he moves much faster than all the other sith, soon it will just be you and him. Lead him away from the camp until he stops following. IMPORTANT: Remember where you leave him! He will wonder a bit around the area, but won't return to camp.

4) Return to the camp, finish off all of the sith remaining, and destroy all of the crystals. (See the stickied guides for help with this - as a master combat prof. with comp armor this should be no problem.)

5) Find Mel again,eatall of your buffing foodsetc, TAKE OFF YOUR ARMOR (useless vs sabers)and send in your droid/pet.While Mel is whacking away at the droid, hit him as hard as you can. I had a self-repairing droid, so Mel never did turn his full attention to me...he would occasionally attack me, but then the droid would aggro him again.

6) Eventually he will start wearing down your HAM...at that pointburst run to your swoop and take off. Regroup, rinse, and repeat. It only took me two passes to kill him, but I am speed-capped with a pretty nice hammer.

Your results may vary, but it shouldn't take too long using this method. It took me about 20 mins to take out the whole camp and Mel.

Resources vendor at -110 -6120 outside Coronet.

I shot the crystals with a pistol, took a while. Then I spread the mobs around, pulling them away from the camp. I finishedMelachae's right hand with my baton and some poison (easy). Then I threw some healthposion on Mel. He ran after me for a while, I put some more health poison on him, suddenly he spawned back in camp.

Had to pull him outta there again. More poison, maybe three or four more times. When his health was low enough, I approached him, using damage reduction food and a baton, smacked him down like the little bug he is.

Not a problem.

Actually I died once. When I'd shot two crystals, the whole camp started to run after me. I wasn't ready for that, and Mel got to me before I'd reached the bike.

All in all I killed:

2 Pirates

1 Mercenary

Mel's right hand (darksomethingorwhateveritwas)

Mel himself.

The others I didn't bother with.

Duration: About an hour.

i took out mel by myself as well as a swordsman/doc. First i was able to get close enough to attack each crystal w/o the whole camp aggroing me. I left the last one standing. Then i would just 3-4 of the sith guys and take them out. After they were all dead, i took out the last crystal and went toe to toe with Mel

i got lucky when the other strong guy that used a rifle(forgot his name, but he was much stronger than the rest of the thugs) chased me for awhile, then stayed away from the camp after i lost him.

It took alot of patience waiting for all the sith shadow guys to move far enough from each crystal so i could destroy it, and it took me awhile to figure out the sequence to destroy the crystals in so that they don't heal themselves.

The fight w/ mel was pretty rough though. Synthsteak was my best friend. Brandy too.
