Hi again,
I am glowy and the old man has visted me as well as the 2 sith ....anyway im at the village and spoke to captain sargillio(or something like that hehe) anyway he sent me on a quest to defend sith shadow oulaws & pirates ......which I did. The completion of this quest means that I opened up the enhanced reflexes quest. What I do know is that I go to paemos to trade in xp for force xp until I get enough ...then I get trained.
At this point though I dont want to proceed further until I understand thephases..... you see I have been readinga guide from alkazam up until now and it appears I did a phase 4 quest. In reference to the explanation of the phases on alkazam ...well I dont really follow it but I did get the fact that if you done things a certain way with something called free unlocks you could do it in 10 weeks instead of ....well considerably more than that.
With what I have just said in mind I was wandering if someone could explain in lamans terms how the phases work and also how I could theoretically complete the initial village quests in the quickest time ...... bearing in mind I have started with a phase 4 quest: enhanced reflexes ...melee defense. Another constraint to any template is that I do not want to have to do crafting.
Any template suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also if someone submits a really good one that works ...... I will consider rewarding them some credits from my meager wallet in game :-)).....this is how badly I want to go down this road :-)
Thanks
David

Nothing personal, but I think you should read the stickied thread at the top and read the grenade grinding threads that are floating around in the first 3 pages of this forum.
Probably nobody will answer your request becuase this is an ongoing discussion and there are already a few dozen posts on this specific topic.

Phases change every 3 weeks. There are 4 Phases total.
You can only unlock 1 branch (4 boxes) of FS skills per Phase.
You need to fill up 6 branches in FS skills in order to be done with the Village, have to kill Mellichae (a dark Jedi)and start on your Padawan trials. Please note this is 6 branches, NOT 24 boxes of any skills. The skills you train up MUST be all four boxes in each branch.
For example, FS Combat 4/4/4/4 and Reflexes 0/4/4/0 WILL start you on the Padawan trials.
FS Combat 2/2/2/2, Reflexes 2/2/2/2, and FS Senses 2/2/2/2 will NOT get you to the Padawan trials. You MUST have at least 6 level 4 boxes filled to be done with the Village.
Skill bonuses/descriptions as well as the unlockable skills in each Phase are found in the stickied thread in these forums. If you're lazy, just go here.
TEMPLATE INFO:
Go 4/0/0/0 Commando. That requires 4/0/0/0 Brawler and Master Marksman.
Throw Imperial Detonators or Thermal Detonators until your eyes bleed.
You should get roughly 200k to 300k FS xp per buff session (3 hours or so).
You will chew through armor and grenades insanely fast, but it's hands down the fastest way to get FS xp.
You might also consider a triple mastery in combat professions. Cap them all in xp, then go trade them all in. A little slower, but a lot more cost effective.
Good luck, and may the Force be with you.

I looked for an insane amount of time for this, it consumed 1.7 seconds of my life,to copy/paste the link, someone else can clicky it.
Edited, changed an M to an N added a comma. Not that it mattered, but after like 400 years I finally got my edit option so I'm editing everything. It makes me feel special.

Thanks folks ....once again I appreciate the advice ....and yes I have done alot of reading on this ......although not on this site :-) Yet,,,,, so this is my next step. I prefer getting people to explain as I can ask to clarify anything that is unclear also many of the guides assume to much and are not begginer friendly ....either that or certain key parts are written unclear...... I will get back to you after this lengthy read :-) Also I still am not sure I get the phases ....anyway Im master marksmen and going for teras kasi........ In reference to the phases ....you wrote
[
For example, FS Combat 4/4/4/4 and Reflexes 0/4/4/0 WILL start you on the Padawan trials.
]
Is the above saying that Combat is one tree and Reflexes the other and that I must complete FS Combat at 4/4/4/4 and reflexes at 0/4/4/0. I no im repeating what you said but I just want to be clear in my head what needs to be done :-) Also by speaking to captain sargullo Ive opened up enhanced reflexes melee defense...... is that 1 tree? if you no what I mean and is that the one that needs to be 0/4/4/0. Anyway to be honest Im replying just now mainly to thank you for your information ....... I will place a clearer question in this thread after Ive read all of the links you gave me :-) ....As I said before Im reluctant to do anymore in case I screw my chance up :-) .......also a friend eneded up doing the crafting by mistake & he cant change. Anyway I will get back to you all as I realise myself that I need to read the materials :-) .......Im optimistic that it will be more understandable than alkazam ......well the phases bit anyway
Thanks

I have had a quick read .......im printing some stuff out .....right this is what I have done so far
Village Phase 4: Enhanced Reflexes: Melee Defense
Correct me if im wrong here ....but I have unlocked the tree enhanced reflexes (after finishing the killing sith quest) and now I need to master this tree by filling it up with converted force xp........ when Ive done this do I get a free unlock??? you see I eant to no which tress to unlock and what to complete ...thats what i meant by a template. If I have read the guide correctly ....... when I master this tree ...I can unlock another quest with a free unlock ....I was then thinking of doing this:
Village Phase 4: Combat Prowess: Ranged Speed
Village Phase 4: Combat Prowess: Ranged Speed
Village Phase 3: Combat Prowess: Melee Accuracy
Village Phase 3: Enhanced Reflexes: Ranged Defense
Village Phase 1: Combat Prowess: Ranged Accuracy
Village Phase 2:Combat Prowess: Melee Speed
As you can see its slightly different from the guide owing to the fact of the quest I started on .......my question is ...firstly is this feasable and do all of the above trees need to be a completely mastered. Its hard to explain what I require ..... you see marksmen how you have pistolsIV,rangedrifles IV,CarbinesIV,RangedSupportIV .......that is 4444 ....basically do each of the above trees when unlocked need to be 4444 ...... Also someone was telling me about commando being at a certain level ...... I dont see where that comes into the village quest and phases as a necessity ? as Im teras kasi novice and master marksmen which was a choice that was made well before and independant of the quests......Once again thanks for the help :-)
Regards
David

First, opinions vary as to what is a tree and what is a branch, but...
FS Combat 4/4/4/4 and Reflexes 0/4/4/0 WILL start you on the Padawan trials
This is a correct statement. Regardless of what you call it the important and only thing that matters is this:
FS Combat 4/4/4/4 and Reflexes 0/4/4/0 WILL start you on the Padawan trials
This is a correct statement. Regardless of what you call it the important and only thing that matters is this:
You need 6 different vertical rows filled 4 boxes high to start trials.
Combat 4-0-0-0 isone tree, Combat 4-4-0-0 is two trees, Combat 4-4-4-0 is three trees, and Combat 4-4-4-4 is 4 trees. You need 6 full trees (1 vertical row 4 boxes high equals 1 tree) in order to start your exit quest (i.e. Padawan trials).
Also by speaking to captain sargullo I've opened up enhanced reflexes melee defense...... is that 1 tree
Yes, each completed phase quest will unlock 1 tree. If you complete a new quest each phase, you will unlockone tree on phase 1, a second tree on phase 2, third tree on phase 3 and a fourth tree on phase 4. The village will then start the phase sequence over again and will be on phase 1 again. At this time you can take a different quest than the one you took the first time phase 1 was in effect, this will unlock the fifth branch, the sixth branch will be unlocked on phase 2.
Now you have to meet the requirement in order to take the quest on each phase, i.e., you can not take the healing quests if you do not have Medic/Doctor skills. Also, please note that on some quests, the same quests can unlock two different trees (not at the same time). If you don't care what youunlock, take and complete whatever mission you can during the current phase.
If you are after specific trees, there may be a few phases where you do not unlock anything (although you can if you want to). You can unlock everything if you want and only grind XP for thetrees you like, you can grind more than 6 trees if you like, and the trees can be filled with XP at ANY time AFTER the tree has been unlocked, even it is 12 months later.

Read the Sticky about the village quests to see what tree can be unlocked in what phase, and what NPC to talk to to do it. It also lists the requirements (if any) for the quest.
As far as what template is the fastest, that's up to you decide. Commando 4-x-x-x flinging grenades as described in other stickies is the absolute fastest method FOR the COMBAT trees. However, grenades are not the easiest things to find all the time, nor are they cheap. If your 6 vertical rows filled 4 boxes high, are all combat, then you're set with this template. It is possible grind all the XP you need, and convert it, before you will unlock all the trees. Once they are unlocked, you just "go train" to fill in the boxes.
I found having a little bit of fun was a better grind than no fun at all. Yes it took me a little longer than others, but then what's the rush, Jedi is even a longer, harder and more boring grind.

Hopefully this clears up some of the mud.
Edited some typo's.

Unless you were part of the Holo-grind era and completed multiple profession prior to patch 10, you'll get NO free unlocks.
You do not have to master a tree before you unlock another one, you just have to wait for the next phase to start.

You would have to do the quests this way:
Village Phase 4: Combat Prowess: Ranged Speed wait for phase roll to next village phase
Village Phase 1: Combat Prowess: Ranged Accuracy wait for phase roll to next village phase
Village Phase 2:Combat Prowess: Melee Speedwait for phase roll to next village phase
Village Phase 3: Enhanced Reflexes: Ranged Defensewait for phase roll to next village phase
Village Phase 4: Combat Prowess: Ranged Speed wait for phase roll to next village phase
Village Phase 3: Combat Prowess: Melee Accuracy fill in 6 vertical rows 4 boxes high and wait for old man.
Also someone was telling me about commando being at a certain level ...... I dont see where that comes into the village quest and phases as a necessity
It is not a prerequisite for the village. It was a recommendation for character to achieve the maximum XP in the shortest amount of time, it is mearly a FS XP grinding template.
