Just wanted to share a bit of my POSITIVE experience.. I got visited by the old man yesterday.. I was crafting my rifle preparing for it and after I was done I noticed him standing right by me patiently waiting :-)

Talked with the guy, got the mission. Handily respec'd my MWS to a combat prof becoming a lvl 80 Master Rifleman/ Master Pistoleer..

Called on a couple friends, both CH and one is a master doc. Went to the mission point and another person who was just passing by has joined us as well.

Arrived at the camp, stopped at rifle's distance. My CH friends sent their pets to guard me.

Tried to kill one of the crystals, but it was healing too fast. Noticed it had a red smoke over it, moved on to the other one that had a green smoke. Killed it all by myself with a sniper shot mostly. Moved on to the other with a green smoke and killed it too.

Moved on to a red one.. While killing it, got aggroed by sith (and maybe Daktar, not sure). Managed to kill the third crystal before being incapped. All my friends took a trip to the cloner. The only survivor was a Rancor pet, he fought hard and made the enemies retreat (!). Luckily I didn't get slained, still not sure why.

With my friends out of the cloner, we got smarter and killed all the remaining sithsfrom rifle distance (level 77, not too hard).

Moved on to the last crystal and killed it from the rifle distance, no problem. Note, I killed all th ecrystals myself, no one else touched them.

Then we hit Daktar. I rooted him from a distance and did some decent damage before he jumped on us. When he did, I started running and my friends with the pets' help have finished him. He's level 100, but not too heavy hitter.

Mel was the only standing guy. We tried the same tactics, but he jumped on us and killed us all, including me :-) (the Rancor still lived!!)

I stayed there, my friends cam back from the cloner and rez'd me.

Tried sort of the same tactics, but better coordinated. I rooted from distance, then pets attacked and the everyone else attacked. And this time it did work!! He still got out and jumped all over us, but I was running and rooting/slowing him and trying to stay more than 30m away while everyone hitting him.. Rancor pet was a big factor again I think. Slowly but surely, he's died.. :-)

Forgot to mention, before dying I had over 6000 health from my Focused Crystal and multiple buffs. I had a self-made Advanced Laser Rifle.
