I dont like posting rumours cos I read enough BS on these forums without me adding to it but I heard that if you clicked the wrong answer you may have to grab an extra badge to get the old man to reappear, if there's any badges you can grab without too much hassle it's gotta be worth trying it, don't know if it'd have to be a specific type of badge like a hard one or a content one.

Like I say this is not something I encountered & I can't remember or find where I originally read this but it's gotta be worth a shot.

Just an update in case anyone else runs into this problem. Hubby got a visit from the old man today. He spawned right next to him, said he needed to talk and started running away (hubby wasn't afk and saw him spawn). He hit burst run and managed to talk tothe old guyand get his crystal.

I'm not sure if getting the extra badge helped or if it was time for the old man again. Either way it didn't take that long to get and may have helped. The timing was 5 days since the original visit and 1 day after getting the new badge. Hope this helps someone else, thanks

Sounds to me like that extra badge was the key. Old Man visited me almost exactly 24 hours after I became glowey. It was within a half hour actually so it sounds like that's what finally got him to come
