Thread: Sith datapad and wp?
This happened to me too...
The way I fixed it, which has had mixed success on other people I suggest it to, is to move it into your backpack.
I was wearing my backpack, dragged it in. No sooner then I did my quest updated and it allowed me to choose "Use" from the radial.
I hope it works for you, sorry if it doesn't.

You don't need to solo the Sith Shadows in order to get a working datapad. You must, however, make sure that you land a shot on each of them before they fall.
Unfortunately you are experiencing a bug... You need to destroy the datapad and the Sith will come again soon. I hope you have better luck next time!

Help so soon! I really appreciate the advice.
However, it looks like I panicked and posted too soon. I just flew to another planet, then shuttled out to a waypoint in my datapad named (imaginatively) "waypoint". Turns out it was a vendor actually, but as I was leaving the two sith attacked again!
lol They basically caught me with my pants down - no armour, no weapon equipped *blush* Luckily I had a stim D and a neutron pixie in my quickslots, which saw me through. I looted the bodies and this time I gotr a message saying I had successfully completed the quest. Checked the datapad and used it - it gave me the waypoint this time.
Really seems to me that if anyone else ewven lands a shot on the sith then the datapad won't work, but I've got to admit that I don't have enough data for this, it's just a hunch given what happened to my friend and now me.
This is the first post I've made in the FS forums, and it's been great to get helpful advice so quickly.

PS - I've still got the other datapad, so once I've done the sith camp I'll try moving it to my backpack like suggested (might not work now for me though anyway),But I'll also pass this on to my friend and post back here if it works for either of us.

Thanks. I'm sure that will be good to know for anyone else who is expecting the sith and might be wanting help from friends.
