Thread: Picked Wrong Mission: What are the chances a CSR will help?

My plan was to accept the Phase 2 mission to unlock the Surveying tree, but I accidentally took the Crafting mission instead. It was an honest mistake.
Anyway, is there any chance a CSR will help me cancel that mission and accept the one I was trying to get? Has anyone run into the same problem and been successful in getting sympathy? I'm a community veteran... was in Beta and then played for a year and a half starting from day one. I took a break from SWG for 6 months due to a family tragedy, but I'm back now.
The thing is I don't have a shred of Crafting skill (aside from Novice Artisan) so if this can't be remedied then I'm bascially getting set back a full month.
Again, anyone have luck getting a mistake like this fixed? I know it was a stupid, noob error, but I'm crossing my fingers for a sympathetic, understanding CSR.

i'm afraid they won't do that
heres what I advise u to do
-> fill the three now, and bank the xp for the one u want later, its x4 exp atm now anyways so bank all the xp u need
later when you're a jedi, the worst that could happen is u have to surrender a skillbox or maximum 2 so u have 4 free skillpoints
-> learn seventh branch when u unlocked it and drop the one u don't want
good luck, I bet those few extra trips to the village will teach you

I would say the answer would be NO they will not fix it. There have been several instances like yours and the CSRs have responded with something to the effect of "we will not fix a human error but we will fix a game error." Sorry man, but you will either have to do this quest or wait until the next time it comes around to get what you want.

Not the answers I was looking for, but I'm afraid you're all right. SOE just seems so generous nowadays with all the respecs and double xp weeks I guess I figured they might give me a hand. I could really kick myself for making such a stupid error.

It never hurts to submit a ticket anyways explaining in detail what happen. I had an instance where I accidentally deleted my Sorosubb. No big deal except I had a great deal of items stored on there while transferring someinventory around. I submitted a ticket explaining what happened and believe or not, a CSR was kind enough to place the ship back in my datapad with everything stored inside. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I always try to be as cordial and polite as possible when conversing with them. I hope you have the same luck I have.
