oh God no. A Chef's best xp comes from Thakitillo, but you don't want to do that. Grind up master artisan and make vehicles.

I've been looking at what the best thing to grind is myself (once I get glowy and go to the village).
It all depends on if you want speed or efficiency.
Thakitillo from what people say is the most efficient chef items for resource to xp. I've not confirmed, but it apparently gives 367xp per practice (73.4 FSxp). Would require over 17,000 combines to complete one tree. But only 1.6million resources (ratio of around 4 resource per xp).
Swirls give only 273xp (54.6 FSxp) in practice and require 80 resources, this would require 24,000 combines and 1.9 million resources, so Thakitillo is more efficient and quicker than Swirls.
For speed, Advanced Droid Frame units give 460xp (92 FSxp) and requires 220 resources per craft (ratio of just over 2 resource per xp). One tree would require around 14,000 combines, but would need 3.1 million resources.
Don't even bother about Artisan items, the exchange rate is 8xp to 1FSxp, and though X34's give 1600 xp per combine (200 FSxp), they require over 3,000 resources so you're talking a seriously silly amount of resources to get trees this way.
If you are a tailor, then you have Ithorian Leatherwear or Tactical Skinsuits give 600xp per combine (120 FSxp) are a good option, and thats only 11,000 combines, but 3.2million polymer and 11 full factory runs of metal clasps.
Pretty much the choice is yours, but I'm going to be going down the Thakitillo route, as I'm not very rich

I recommend Kiwik Clusjo Swirls as well. I did all 4 trees by crafting them and they are very cost effective.
