Thread: Will The ToOW Change the Requirements for Glowie/FS Process???

Just something I've been thinking about. Will the new expansion bring about a new way to get glowie and become a Jedi???
If so, what do you think it will be, and how do you think it will effect those of us already Force Sensitive???

There are rumors that it will, however there have been no conclusive statements from the devs. Personally, I would not expect any change.

no.
I'm 100% sure that there is no change. Otherwise they would have already released the info since its a big change to the game.

Dont be so sure, or not because of that reason. The defination of a"big change" is not always the same as the developers' defination. when they provided incentives for players to group... then nerfed group xp that apparently wasnt a "big change" yet thousands quit because of it; They ended up reversing thier decision.
EDIT: and that change apparently wasnt in the test center because people i talk to that play in the TC were shocked when it happened.

If they did it'll be like. (Needs 5 mastered professions instead of 2) or (Needs 50 POI's. etc. etc.)
Fundamentally the system will remain the same, but I would not be surprised if they raise the requirements quite a bit. There are way too many "I just bought the game a week ago and I'm glowy!" posts going on.

Personally, I would love it if they made much harder (and not just more grinding, actuallly harder to figure out and impossible to document on some webpage), wiped out all the current Jedi across the board, and started again with a quest based system that had no grinding involved and forced you to make moral choices during the course of it that shaped your characters abilities.
Will this happen? no, its too much of a cash cow for them to screw with it. I expect it will make Jedi easier, so that more people will buy it, and it will offer some neat things that every Jedi will have to have so that more current Jedi will buy it, and it will nerf some existing classes enough that people give up and stop playing them, and we will be yet another step closer to KOTOR online, and SWG will suck that much harder than it does already.
And no I am not a Jedi atm, and yes I am fs and working on it just like absolutely everyone else pretty much.

I think thats the way it'll go. The fluff for ToOW talks of making decisions that lead to the Light or the Dark, so I wouldn't be suprised to see some sort of choice based addition to the FS process.
The thing is, how are they gonna give us free unlocks???

i doubt they mean there gonna change FS by adding choices.Its probably gonna be a obiwan themepark or something and which side you choose determines your reward(s).It could also mean the new FRS is gonna come out with ToOB with choices affecting if you become a Dark Jedi Knight or Light Jedi Knight,Gaurdian.... I think we woulda got a notification from a dev for such a drastic change as changing the FS system but theres always the possiblilty
