Thread: Signal Amplifier
Ok got it to work, but I have NO idea how. Something is wrong with the signal amplifier section of this quest. The bars do not appear to change for some of the adjustments. It was just dumb luck that it calibrated. It still looked exactly the same. I don't know if it's a graphics problem or what.

I did this one at the begining of this phase. I got through everything except the signal amplifier in the first or second attempt. I had the exact same problem, i.e. all the bars looked the same and couldn't make them change. I spent about 4 hours and LOTS of resources before I finally completed the quest. Here was my secret: I gave up and was just randomly moving the sliders around because I was bored and didn't feel like making the drive back from the village when I got the message that it was fininshed. Very Lucasian when you think about it.
SO my advise is give up, but don't quit.
Good luck, hope you get it.
Sent this as a bug report, if u have the issue (or had it like me - just lucked out and completed the quest) then feel free to cut n paste ( there are options to do this under keymap):
Phase 1 crafting mastery force sensitive quest
The mission giver is Quharek wp 5373 -4181 darthomir (in the village)
Mission starts from 5418 -4123 sensor array access terminal
4 missions
1Mission - signal amplifier
This mission is bugged. If u do a search of the force sensitive forum for "signal amplifier" u will find a lot of players in agreement that it is broken.
The objective is to match the output to a given tolerance. To begin with the quest should be better worded to explain the objective (in terms of match this colour on the output graph or match this height [amplitude]).
However the main problem is that there is different between the 2 graphs that u have to match so therefore the way to complete the quest is to randomly try different positions of the three sliders. After about 5 craftings of the signal amplifier and 10 attempts to "calibrate" each one, I struck lucky.
This could be game breaking though if u dont have the "luck".

the ghetto guide does not work unfortunately with this bug. I just completed it (luckily - on only my 3rd signal amplifier)
my bars looked like this:
--|-----------------------------------------------
--------------------------|-----------------------
-------------------------------------------------|
it is a random solution to the puzzle, and needs to be fixed - please, let everyone know about this and tell them to /bug it... or I'm afraid we may have to just keep on guessing...
Might not be totally random... Your bar sliders look similar to mine. The bars are supposed to be Red, Green, and Blue. Checking out a RGB chart in Photoshop sampling a screenshot of the lower green color barsgot me a color with sliders close to the first one below. Possibly they can just be rearranged for six combinations as follows:
--------------------------|----------------------- Red
-------------------------------------------------| Green
--|----------------------------------------------- Blue
--------------------------|----------------------- Red
--|----------------------------------------------- Blue
-------------------------------------------------| Green
--|----------------------------------------------- Blue
--------------------------|----------------------- Red
-------------------------------------------------| Green
--|----------------------------------------------- Blue
-------------------------------------------------| Green--------------------------|----------------------- Red
-------------------------------------------------| Green
--|----------------------------------------------- Blue
--------------------------|----------------------- Red
-------------------------------------------------| Green
--------------------------|----------------------- Red--|----------------------------------------------- Blue

My advice? Random is good.
