Thread: How am I a crafter supposed to get past sith ?

Okay going on a week now and it just doesnt seem possible for to get past these guys. Old man visits, i get jumped by sith and incapped. I call for help. Guild comes and we kill sith but it never drops the disc. Old man comes the next day, etc etc etc


The problem seems to be me getting incapped kills the quest immediately. Ive also noticed that i never get all 3 (i was told 3 spawn) sith to spawn. Seemingly because i get incapped so fast the others dont spawn so no disc.Once I had 2 sith spawn and I think that was because I had a factory between me and the sith so the delay slightly helped. The other 3 attempt always had only one sith show up.


And I cant avoid the incap because it always happens before I even see the sith. And before you say my system, AMD 4000, 2 gigs ram, 512mb nvidia 6800 ultra card, and 3MBPS cable connection.


So how does a crafter get into the village besides grinding to a combat master profession seriously ? I've literally had guildmates on 24 hr guard duty following me everywhere and doing shuttle hops. It doesnt seem anyway to avoid the incap and thus fail

The only advice I can give you is what I did. After I got my old man visit I went inside my house, which is in a player city finished crafting and logged out for the night. I waited at least 24 hours to go out side again because for me (and I know this varies, but It's been this way with every character I've done or helped) that will make sure the sith will come (also if you are lucky to get a server reset in those 24 hours, I can almost garauntee they will come). I then called two buddies to come to my house. We grouped up and went to the same spot the old man came to me at (I did the same thing when I got the "inner glow"). Within five minutes the sith appeared.


Now, I told my two friends to turn off their auto-attacks just to be safe. They each shot one of the two sith (there are only two at this point) to pull the aggro to them. I pulled out my CDEF rifle and shot both of them for my 18 points of damage! I then told them to go ahead and finish them off (I have heard that to loot them you have to do some damage also and I wanted to be safe). Afterwards, I looted the sith, got the waypoint to the camp...went there with the two buddies, did the same thing and am now in the village. Agreed, it's not as easy as it was before, but it wasn't hard either. Just plan ahead, have some patience to garauntee a sith visit so you don't waste your friend's time and you will be okay.
