Not to put down the ppl that are starting theyre village grind now. But to save you alot of blood and sweat. ITS ALOT EASIER TO SAY ILL DO IT THEN TO DO IT.
The grind from hell is the name players gave it. And when you find your self half way done youll relize just exactly that.
Its not fun its not exciting its boring . and more boring. AND YES IM TALKING ABOUT THE VILLAGE GRIND NOT JEDI.
Some people just cant do it non stop to those ppl dont even try. Youll find your self questioning why. Personally i finish in 7 days of non stop nading/doc rezzing ..
I could handle it and almost broke at one point.
Now that combat upgrade is coming and we can expect game will be alot harder
i deff. feel bad for the ppl just entering this hell lol.
just my 2 cents

That's the whole point of the Village grind, to discourage players of the long grind ahead of them.

The tediousness of the FS System was designed as an attempt to regulate the number of Jedi, but make it an attainable profession at the cost of a long quest for XP. I have become frustrated with the Grind, but now that I'm close to completion, I'd say that the hours put into accumulating XP will be worth it and present a new challenge and profession for me (not to mention a new character!).
I think Morpheus said it best (approximate quote): "I can only show you the door. You have to walk through it."

My advice is to get commando 3000 or 4000and grindusing combat xp before they nerf grenades. If I had done that when I started my village grind then I'd be a jedi now. Instead I waited until about halfway thruto grind marksman and commando from my previous template and it left me a burnout. But hey, that's life.

I wouldn't start the grind now - my bet is they're going to change it to a quest-based system for getting a lot of the force skills and jedi stuff.... Take longer but be more interesting and make it so you couldn't just throw grenades at crap for hours to make millions of exp.

People keep saying they are going to nerf the heck out of a nade grind. However, I have yet to see one solid fact to prove this. I'm not complaining, I just unlocked my 6th branch yesterday and am going to finish my xp in about 2 weekends so I'll be done long before if they even do. Its just that I havn't seen one post from a CSR or DEV saying that they are going to change it at all. All I have seen is rumours and players saying its going to be changed. I personally don't believe it will be changed myself, but i could be wrong. If anyone wants to put a link up to a DEV or CSR saying its going to be change to prove me wrong go for it though.

Hehhehe I am gonna post this on every post I read that say's the revamp is gonna nerf everything. With the revamp, I read a Master of a combat profession will have about 3000 health points, that is about what we get with buff's now.

One thing I DO fear about the combat revamp is that it will go the way of Saga of Ryzom (If anyone else played this when it came out they would know too). On that game they redid the NPCs and MOBs and the combat and it was pretty close to impossible to solo anything besides the most basic of newbie MOBs and NPCs. It required a group to kill a normal to higher end MOB. Not to mention the groups of the kitin which took like 5-10+ people to handle. Their wereno vehicles or mounts and to travel from one land to annother you had to be in a HUGE group and take long trek to even be safe in taveling from one land to annother. I just hope that it doesn't end up being as rediculous as that. Personally, I like being a lone wolf alot of times while hunting my enemy down PC and NPCs alike. Though I do enjoy group play I don't like having it shoved down my proverbial throat. I have two accounts, the one that is going to be jedi and the alt who is going to be a BH and my second account has my MasterSwords/MasterDoc. I fear to think of what would happen if something like this struck in the middle of my padawan grind. I'm also something of a loot whore on my second account and I like to solo most of my NPCs for loot. Only grouping with my lil' bros toon and some of my friends. This would greatly effect me and many like me who like to 'go it alone' most of the time. Sorry if this seems like a rant, I'll shut my hole, but I just fear that the game will change so dramatically that I won't want to play anymore. I joined this game to play it like it is, not to have it turn into a completly different game. /rant off
EDIT: For some reason part of my post didn't show up. Anyways what it said is that I posted this in annother thread before reading this one. I think it fits better here so I also added it here so others can view my opinion on things.

My poor friend didn't know about grenade grinding until I filled him in on the day of my unlock (Sunday)... I took pity on him and gave him all my leftover 'nades.
