Force Sensitive Archive

I'm currently working on this quest, where you have to survey for 50% or better spots of various inorganics. It started me out on Aluminum, and I promptly went out and found a nice 54% spot. But my journal didn't update as it's supposed to. I sampled to get some of the aluminum, and still--same thing.

So I'm not quite sure what's happening.

It may be important to note that I did the surveying on Tatooine, as I understood it didn't matter which planet you surveyed on. Does it have to be on Dathomir after all? That'll be tough if it is, as there's no aluminum on Dathomir right now.

Sounds like a bug to me. I just finished the quest and did most of my surveying on Corellia. If I were you, I'd submit a ticket in-game (Ctrl-H, Customer Service, search knowledge base using an obscure keyword, then click on the button that says "Nope I didn't find my answer, I just want to submit a ticket" or something like that).

You must be standing on the +50%. It is not enough to see the +50%.In fact I suggest you drive to the WP and survey again. That should remedy your problem, and update your journal.
