Thread: Old man/Sith, Real time or game time

So I know its supposedly 1-3 days. Some people say they've had to wait 4 days. My question is: Did you stay logged into the gamefor 4days straight ? Or did you log in for your usual hour every evening and getit on the 4th day ?


Everyone pleasepost how long you waited, real time AND game time.




P.S. I would have used the search function, but its "Temporarily"(permanently) out of service.

Ok I can tell you after getting two characters in the village. It is real time not play time. First character waited 2 days playing 3 or 4 hours a day. Seccond character waited 3 days having gotten about 4 hours sleep each night and on the character for the rest minus bio breaks and food. I have seen people get it in a couple of rl hours before. And before you ask I say him early afternoon. I did not see the sith that night. I played till they did a server reset. Got back on right away. Saw sith on my first mission. ((kinda sucked being a BH mission on Lok and I get shot from behind)) The fight is not nearly as easy. It is a level 75 and a level 77. I had to do the hit and run on them. The camp will have 2 75's and 1 77 level people. That is also one heck of a fight. Get a group or hope you are strong in combat. If you are a crafter, Doc, Ent I feel for you cause there is no way you will win on your own. If they beat you they take your holocron and you wait for the oldman again.

Lets see.. i got glowy at about 11PM on a monday night and logged right off. On teusday I logged on at about 10PM for about 30mins and there was no old man. Next morning in eagerness to find the old man (i had one day to do the phase 4 quest so i was in a huge hurry now) i logged on and ran 1km out of a player city. On my way back he popped up and told me about the force stuff. about 5 hours later the sith attacked (i logged off right after the old man came and logged back in and the sith attacked right away). So my guess is the old man takes at least 24 hours to come in rl time (albeit i have heard of him coming earlier) and the sith just come whenever they want to.



We have removed all players from the game in order to reduce lag and produce a more iconic atmosphere.

My experience was: Glowy @ 10am Eastern Saturday May 28. Old Man visit on Tuesday May 31 6pm Eastern.


Notes: I played most of Sunday night (8pm to 1am) and then on Monday night (5pm to 11pm)....logged on Tuesday (on Endor) and boom there he was...


Still waiting on the Sith attack.

I just got glowy on Monday morning (about 2am) and haven't been on hardly at all since.. is this gonna mess things up? I'll be on tonite for a while just out and about. will he visit me anywhere or do i have to be near a city or what?

i have had 3 visits from the old man.. each about a day apart.. but he comes quicker after you loose your crystal.. as i have done twice...THat is so frustrating.. the sith attacked me when i was in a fight with a pickett... and the incapped me.. and took my crystal.. i got help from a bounty hunter nearby.. and before i get him to group with me so i would get cedit he killed them.. and i got nothing... the old man came back like 20 mins later...so now i am waiting for the sith again.. I am a level 61 master pistoleer, master scout, and working towards master rifleman... but i still need help with them....

I finished my 6th branch Monday night and logged off about 15 mins later. Last night I spent about 4 hours doing the corvette master pilot mission in space, then landed in Coronet, flew to my hometown shuttle and within 2 minutes the old man appeared. Total ingame time about 4hrs 15 mins, total time on the ground during that time was only about 17 mins, and only one shuttle trip.

I got it on the sunday, was on about 15 hours on and off and he visited Tuesday morning, then the sith attacked wednesday morning.

I made glowy on Saturday morning 3am PST. The old man visited me Tuesday evening at 10:30 pm. I logged out an hour after getting glowy Saturday morning, then logged in Monday from 9pm to 4am, then when i logged in Tuesday (tonight) at 10pm, he visited me within 15 minutes. So it was less than 72 real hours. And i didn't do any of the tricks that are supposed to make him visit me faster. i spent most of my time hunting, on a swoop bike, or in space.
