Interesting, never actually played with melee - always been the Bounty hunter type...I take it this works well with the CU ?

Well then you are just as I was pre-cu. I was mcarbs/mmarks/bh 4/4/4/0 (retired master) and 12 fs boxes. If you are going to continue with your character after unlock, you will become a melee oriented character by nature and will likely want some brawler/tka.

The cu ripped some of my favorite guns from my hands and my aa filled armor off my back, so I figured what better time to make the switch to melee than when it could be done instantaneously. (I made a wook swordsman on infinity long ago, but never had time to play him much, that was my only previous swg melee)

I am now mbrawl/tkm/mpike/medic0230 with fs melee def 4/ranged def 4/luck 4/ranged acc 3

CL80 and around the same defenses as quoted by the swordsman. If I knew what I was doing and was more practiced at melee, I'd be a lot better probably, but I tanked upwards of 10 sith outlaws at the this village this weekend with only a couple of incaps and one death.

I prefer the medic skills over scout because terrain nav can get to 32 easy with a good shirt and pair of pants. You can get +med efficiency on clothes too, but can't get the bacta shot/toss skills with clothes.
