Are there any special materials we should be looking for to craft our first saber?

Are we attempting to craft the BEST saber we can at this point, or are we just trying craftsomething to pass the trial?

If so, what are the best materials to use in each component category?

Thanks!!

you lookin at me?

I would just use the basic materials, your training saber is going to have crappy DPS anyway, and you won't get any experiment skills until novice LS so I wouldn't worry about it.

QFE

Your training saber is gonna suck till you can craft a much better one so use any resource right now. Check your forums/guildees for info on the best resources on your server to craft better sabers when you can. As you get into the higher generations of sabers, you will want Very good pearls/crystals. If you do not have any, you are in for a big surprise. If you have a large wallet you can check your forums to see if anyone is selling premiums or flawless pearls or crystals(clear).

You should have used it for Culsion Inert Gas. It's the rarest resource and is used for 3rd and 4th gen sabers. It only spawns a few times a year. Dura alloy steeel is pretty common in comparison

yes you get all the certs for sabers now at novice instead of per tree and the 4th gen at MLS. If you have the resources and pearls/crystals for it craft a 4th gen saber and use that.

I believe 3rd and 4th gens to require a certain combat level though do they not?

They do lvl 50 I think not 100% at work right now, but if you still have your previous temp you should be around 50+ unless you dropped down levels to possibly make the grind easier. I used a 4th gen at 0100 and have ever since. Helps alot.

Training saber uses generic materials and a color crystal. if you want to get the best saber you can try to find some good dura alloy steel. I used my veteran resource crate and got 30k of dura alloy steel with 977oq and 643con which is what im going to use and its called gapisok. Look for conductivity and overall quality for a saber the higher the better.

Don't even worry about the training saber, you can't use it until you get force anyway. Just go right for fouth gen when you make initiate.

Then start grouping! It's the only way now.
