I finally finished my Village grind on Tuesday night having taken full advantage of the double xp over the weekend.

So yesterday I was just strolling around, visiting shops etc. and the Old Man visits me. Took almost a full 24 hours for him to show up. So he gives me my waypoint to Mellichae and I begin rounding up my troops. I had not expected the response I got from not only my own guild, Recidivus <Ivus> on Sunrunner but alsot <AOD> whos city I was shopping in when I got my visit. There were so many there, that we had two groups going after Mell.

So we all gather with an experienced leader in charge, Dr-Blood, and head to my waypoint. We hit the first green crystal, POOF, up it goes. I was so happy that I didn't get a bugged mission. We go for the second green crystal, and no POOF, not even a poof. So they all tell me to log out, which I did.

When I logged back in the spawn was gone, and I didn't have credit for the kill. So I try driving 500m out. Come back and no respawn. I start getting more nervous. I try driving 1k out. Come back and still no respawn. I was about to look on how to submit my ticket when I thought I would try shuttling. Since this seems to be the catalyst for events in this story. So I quickly shuttle to Theed, once there my waypoint reappears as twins. I got two waypoints for the exact location. Oh well, I thought he should be there for sure!

So I shuttle back to <AOD>'s city and proceed to the spawn again. This time we killed one green crystal, and Dr-Blood say to ignore the rest. So he lures Mellichae out, I take one or two shots at him, then I log out. I log right back in and everything is gone except for Mellichae. So with Dr-Blood tanking, we all converge on him. After about a minute, he goes down, and I get my quest completion!

For a little background info, I've been trying for a Jedi since release. As soon as I heard about the possibility being there, I tried what I could. The one thing that makes me different, is I refused to let that be this whole game for me. I didn't relentlessly grind for holo's, when they were only dropping on Dantooine. I did use my free ones, and only got two to talk before they went silent. Then I just played the game again. I think I went through about 2-3 more professions before news of the revamp started to spread.

Then I just played the game as normal. I was mayor of a city with my alt, who was also a Weaponsmith, Merchant, and then a Shipwright. And during this time I played him more than anything. When the village hit I got my first visit from my old man within 24 hours of it being released. He visited right outside my house. I go to the village and received 3 unlocks. I was surprised since I didn't grind nearly as many professions as others. So being a TKA/Doc, like so many of us were, I began to play my main character again to gain the xp for the village. This is a long grind, with only one type of fighting xp, along with combat and Medical. Then I got bored.

There was no more fun left. My guild had fallen apart, the city had failed, everyone had left. There were a few of us who remained but we were too few. I was lured by other games, to wait for the CU.

And yes, I am a fan of the CU. I am a Star Wars fan. And I am an SWG fan. Sure it's till buggy, but now this game is turning out to be what it should have been all along. And I have faith.

So now I am halfway through my trials, avoiding Talus and Rori at all costs. And if all goes well, I should have them completed by tonight. So almost 2 years of persistant striving and I am just about ready to cross the finish line, only to prepare for yet another race.
