I cant say for definite but I am 99.9% sure you don't get any rewards when you use the free unlock, it just unlocks the FS branch that you choose. If you want the reward you will have to do the whole quest to get it.

As far as I know you can use as many free unlocks in one phase as you want.

Once you unlock one branch it stays unlocked so you don't need to train all 4 boxes in that phase, you can take your time and do them whenever you want.

PS Out of interest why do you think you have some free unlocks? They have not been available for some time now.

what the hell is a free unlock? u just get the tree avaible without doing the quest?

I started playing back at launch and have been gone for almost 2 yrs. I just came back recently (3 weeks ago) i read somewhere that having grinded out a profession back in the hologrind days would give you a free unlock in the current system. I did two holos if i remember correctly plus a bunch of random professions ( so hopefully i have more).

Now are you saying that they no longer give free unlocks at all, or just saying you cant grind a profession now and hope for a free unlock?

Pretty much, you might get three if god loves you over the laws of probability.

ON a side note my original toon on eclispe name was Kryypto. Almost master smugg, ch, bh, pistol, and comm. All depending on the fotm.

You can't grind out professions to get free unlocks anymore. When you talk to Paemos he will tell you got have some free unlocks. You chose what one you want and he will give you the unlock and the experience to train them. In the hologrinding days you needed 8 select professions to unlock. If you grinded 3 profsyou will get one free unlock, 4 profs for 2 unlocks, 5 for 3 and so on for a maximum of 5 five free unlocks.
