alot of people seem to be having problems with talking to the NPCs to get missions and such. Quick suggestion though it may not solve your problem . . .

dump all your macros. Having a macro running often interferes with everything your toon does so if you have a CoB macro or a loot macro or any other macro running, dump them before you converse.

I've found that a running macro interferes with trades, often interefers with combat specials, can cause general lag.

Like I said, it may not solve the problem but its a step in the right direction.
