came back to the game recently after retiring just before the CURB hit. Started out a crafter but decided i want to snag a few FS lines. Picked up marksman last night and started down the road but no clue on good templates.

I was told that getting to CL80 will make the exp roll in alot quicker though no one was quite able to tell me exactly what would get me cl80. I was told master pistols 0-4-4-4 bh was good as it would allow me 4 different types of exp (carbs combat pistols heavy wpns(or what ever the LLC line is now)). but they werent sure what i'd need after that to hit cl80.

Please help! im really learning from scratch here when it comes to this post curb system

Thanks in advance.

To get to cl80 you need to have mastered 2 elite profs (This isn't strictly true but is a good rule of thumb) so if you went master Pistols/Master BH you would definitely be cl80. Like you said yourself this would allow you to max more different kinds of weapons xp. BH xp also has the best xp to FS XP ratio than anything else so this is another good thing.

Personally I would recommend taking some Doc or CM skills, if you have the skill points available (Im a melee char so not sure about ranged temps). As you will last longer in combat if you can heal yourself.

BH exp is kinda slow going though from memory so 1. its not worth farming to convert i think and 2. it'd take me a while to master it.

what about some kinda combo of master pistols 0-4-4-4 bh and some of rifles?

Like I said Im a melee char, but as far as I know if you take x444 BH you will be able to max XP in Rifles, Pistols and Carbs already (Can someone confirm this) so extra skills in Rifles will be pointless in terms of XP gathering, obviouslyit will give youRifleman skills that you wouldn't have otherwise had.

If you are looking for maximum xp pertrip to the village, why not try Scout, or even Ranger, asyou caneasily max scout xp quickly by farming all that you kill while grinding the weapons xp.

Go to...

http://www.bloodfin.org/modules/mydownloads/(sorry can't do clickies)

Then click the Kodan's SWG Profession Calculator Combat Upgrade Edition..

This will give you a profession calculator. You can play about with your possible templates and it will tell you what CL you will get with the skills you select. I use this a lot and its really useful.
