Hey guys, just read that they nerfed combat xp from 3-1 to 30-1?!?! is this a joke? Also, i was gone for a day and havent tried out the new xp via grouping or whatever, can some1 explain this all to me.

yes they nerfed combat exp and medic 
and the grouping you will get 1/8 of the groups exp
and the grouping you will get 1/8 of the groups exp

The group XP change has been pulled off of TC first of all, secondly, you won't get 1/8th the XP. It will probably be closer to 1/3rd.
1/8th is about 12%. When the XP change does make its way back to TC and eventually to the production servers there will be a bonus for grouping. Now, even if this bonus is only 10% that takes us very close to 1/4th th XP. Tack on the 10% bonus for inspiration and it's not so bad.
Besides, the XP comes too fast as is. You can master profs left and right now. Heck, in the biggest n00b MMO of them all, WoW, it takes at least a few weeks to get maxed.

There is some talk in the doctor forums about the med XP change. Though many don't like it, there are some strong points made as to why it was done:
- Doctors are a combat class.
- Med XP is no longer capped at 80K, but 1.2 mil, like most others.
- Med XP accumulates at the same speed as, (and some say faster), as weapons XP.
So to convert it to 30:1 actually brings it back into the fold of other combat classes. I, for one, approve of the conversion as long as they bumped the max to 1.2 mil. Having an 80K cap totally sucked, and people complained for months about that...
