I've gotten my visit from the old man and I have the crystal but I've not seen the shadow's yet. It's been like 5-6 hours. Well I've not been actually on, but my question is, isn't it usually instantly after the old man visits that the shadows appear?

1-3 days like the old man, except they wont spawn in a city.

so they just spawn in the wilderness, ok thanks

I got them to spawn at the Talus Imp Outpost and the Rori Reb Outpost. The first two spawned on Talus and the other two on Rori.
