Happily, I will be finished banking the necessary XP for my 6th branch this week (just filled up my 5th this morning
). I intend on doing Whip's Survival quest in a couple weeks for my 6th branch. I read through the stickied thread, and the brief description of the quest:
Goto the waypoint Whip gives you, when you reach it you get directed to a Sith encampment (~250m away) where you must kill a Sith pirate and thug, then converse with the "captured villager". He will follow you (you must take him the entire way back to the base or you will fail the rescue). 5 rescues must be completed in total.
Now, for those that have completed this quest, did you find it challenging? When this description says, "base", is it referring to the Village? How far is the typical trek from the encampment back to the "base" (500 m or 7000 m)?

Yeah, the base refers to the village. I found that the Sith encampments were usually between 500-1000m from the Village. Only thing hard was the escorting part. I drove back slowly making sure I didn't lose the "captured villager." Not too challenging though. Hope this helps

Are these the same type of sith that attack the villiage during phase 4? With the 25k+ HAM?

Unless they changed it drastically, no, these sith are cake. This is probably one of the easiest quests out there, just takes lots of driving and patience.

Oh and two more things about this quest to mention;
1 - Once you rescue a villager make sure to escort them back on foot... sure its a pain, but when you drive or burst run you might outrun and lose them.
2 - There is a bug with this quest that sometimes allows the sith camps to spawn INSIDE terrain structures such as rocks and mountains, rendering the captive unaccessable. If you get this dont panic, an incap will cause you to fail the quest and whip will give you a new WP (have someone at the village incap you). Ive also heard you can set a camp of your own to eliminate the terrain (but never tested it since, ironically, I dropped my scout/ranger skills before doing the survival quest)

Thanks for the information, fellas - it is very helpful. One more question...Should you lose the villager (thus failing the mission), can you just go back to Whip to redo it?
