I wanted to put my two cents in about this.

Firstly, yes nades make for a faster village grind. The thing everyone needs to consider though is that of all the ways there are to get FSXP, grinding nades is the most costly. You are going to spend a lot of credits doing it this way.

No matter what scenario you can devise you still have to pay for grenades, buffs and armour plus possibly PuPs and food or spices. It cost several million credits at the minimum to get your FSXP with grenades.

Secondly, why does anyone care? Why would anyone try to keep others from getting Jedi? For some people it actually makes it possible to become a Jedi without playing 20 hours a day. I am not making a generalization there either, some people just have nothing else to do besides play ....so be it. You will get your reward for such a massive investment of time far quicker than the casual gamer will.

But why should the casual gamer be denied the same acces to high level goals?

End of the day how fast you grind the FS XP is irrelevant as you still have to wait minimum 18 weeks on a full phase cycle and a half (6 quests).

So you can grind that XP out as fast as you like, but it cant be done any faster, so anyone concerned over the use of grenades, shouldnt be.

Like in a previous post, all the grenades do is allow you more time to play the game if your a more casual player. But it is an expensive way to grind.

There should be no reason why people would frown on their use, they are not being cheated in anyway.

Yes the cost of the grenades needs to be taking into account when you look who "easy" it is to unlock. It takes time to "grind" the credits you need.

I am in no rush to become a Jedi, although it is certainly a goal I would like to achieve.

Personally, I have sorted out a plan whereby I grind a 3hour buff every evening and get 900K profession cap and 90K combat xp and convert it to 60K fs xp, with enough buff left over for me to get through all the nasties to get to the village!

Sothats 420K fs xp a weekor 1.2m fs xp per village phase (i.e. every 3 weeks) gained, enough to complete a whole tree! Still works out at approx 315K credits per phase I have to spend on buffs, but with the missions I will be doing to get the xp it will pay for itself easily with money left over (as I will only have to do 32 Picket Lair missions on Dant to pay for all the required buffs!).

As I said to a good friend ingame, so long as the lovely Dev's (who quite frankly I am very impressed with after the recent publish*) dont change anything it should be a pleasant stress free grind....well, until I have to kill the Mallechae (? spelt wrong I think) guy anyway!

*Incidently, I mean that with honesty and not being sarcastic! SmugglerFaction Cap Change,Vet Rewards, Reduced Incap and so on in the last publish...BRILLIANT!!

Agreed!

See the way I look at it, is whatever happens, there's always going to be something about the path to Jedi. Right now, its the grenade grind. The downside to the nade grind is its gonna cost a few million credits to get the supply of grenades you need.

Now if you take away the grenades, there WILL be something else that players will grind easily to reach Jedi-hood. Its inevitable.

Thats the way I look at it.
