Do lights sabers count as melee weapons? If so are they two-handed, one-handed or somthing eles?

okay, then I have another question, Do any jedi's use SEA's to improve there abilities, or are they good enough on thier own?

You get 1 Handed saber at Initiate tree

you get 2 handed saber at padawan tree

and you get double saber ( polearm ) in the guardian tree

you can use it, but you don't have the speed/accuracy to use it, so your DPS will be very slow....

With 0-4-0-4, my 1 hand LS was 260 dps... with 4-0-0-4, it is 520 dps because of speed and accuracy i have in 1h LS branche.

But cant you make it up with Improved force speed???

you could make up some of the speed, yes, but you'll never be as good as if you just got 0444. Also, on a side note, the techniques tree gives you only saber block +20(of which blocks maybe 1/10th of the shots at you) and a few specials. Other then that it just gives lightsaber experimentation & assembly, so unless you're going to be crafting sabers real soon(or you really like your saber throw) go with 0440. Now you can use your double, and powerbreak.

Of course my opinion is, that if you just want the 2hand line for powerbreak, make yourself a 2 hand saber. The only benefit that pre CU sabers have is the 0 action cost, which if i'm right they will be fixing soon enough.
