supposedly recursive macros ar being removed from the game . . . but until then . .sure . . . survey away, or dance, or play an instrument . . . all will macro your way through the sense tree . . .
but you might lose alittle respect from the people that actually worked for the XP

Yes, Honor Integrity and excessive repetive clicking grind to raise the ungodly ammount of XP needed to raise a box or two. 10$
Macro AFK through a box or two of Sense xp every day or so while relaxing reading a boox at the keyboard: 25$
Obtaining a Jedi character to play without ever picking up a weapon in game: PRICELESS
I run two accounts. While one is my combatant that I play actively. The other is my Dancer/medic/crafter I run afk to help heal other players. I can dance through 90k of force sense XP in a day. I dread once I have to tend to the crafting lines here come the next phase two when I start the crafting branches I need.

Different skills exchange at different rates. From as low as 30:1 (30,000 regular experience converts to 1000 fs) to as good as 3:1 (30000 combat exp converts to 10000 FS)
there's a listing somewhere around here with all the conversions, but I have a new job to start tomorrow, had no sleep last night and am wiped.

Seriously man, Get a life! There is a world out there that doesn't involve SWG. I know, it's hard to immagine but there really is. There's even girls out in the real world. You should look into it.

when I was an artisan . . survey XP came pretty slow. and you need a good concentration to get constant XP else your wind up failing to sample 8 out of 10 times.
Also remember that if your out in the wilderness sampling AFK . . . and a lair or anything aggro spawns . . . when you return to your PC, you might find yourself in the clone center rather than sampling.
IMO, a sampling macro or sampling for that matter isn't a practicle way to grind Heightened Senses. I'f your an artisan . . . try putting down a merchant and have all your friends/guildies check it out everyday . . . . you get XP everytime you access it as well. Yeah Merchant XP caps fast but its safer and you might even make a little money (as long as you put stuff up on it) and you can do this while sampling in your spare time while in game.
If doing heightened senses tree is your main goal, then only survey is NOT the way to do it. Let me explain my personal experience.In order to get 20k surveing xp (which is max) it would take me on average of 6-8 hours on a 90% vein to max.I would macro it when i went to bed at night around 11:30pm and by 6:30 am when i got up for work, it would be maxed.I would then go to the village and convert it at 10:1 and get a measly 2k fs xp. i also have a vendor up that maxed at 10kxp at a 4:1 conversion.I did my novice and first tier box on those and it took me about 3 weeks to get the ~200k fs xp. Now that the CU has gone live, i have changed tactics a little and it seems to work out ok. Before i respeced i was master DE, Master Artisan, Master Carbineer. (this template gave me a CL of 50). With my new template, i am novice BH, Master scout, novice ranger, smuggler 0400, master pistoleer, brawler 4040 (for smuggler, not sure what it really is.. might be just 4000) this gives me a CL of 63.
with this template i still get the 10k from merchant ( yes you can still keep the vendor even without 0030 artisan)
i max at 200k scouting xp which converts at 8:1 and i can take level 50 missions on naboo killing kaduu and bols which when skinned give me ~2300 xp ea so i can get the 200k alot faster than just doing surveying. ive had this template for ~ 4 days now and have already gotten my 2nd tier heightened sense (luck) box. ~175k fs xp.
note: I know that the fs xp numbers are not correct hence the ~. My template isnt exactly the best for gaining combat xp, but my guild does alot of hunts so i get my combat xp that way.
