I decidedI want to start on the FS path and become a jedi. I can't start for about one more more week because I have to wait for my respec period to end so I can get my master profession badge.

I haven't played since January and i just started playing again last week. I respec'd and wanted to become Master Swords/Master Doc/some TKA....but I've been reading around and it seems I won't have enough sp to do everything I need to become Jedi. I'm really confused hwat I should do. Like I said, I'm still in respec period so I can change my skills around if I need to. What is a good build I can use and still have enough SP and such for FS. I don't know much about Force Sensitive/Jedi type stuff so any help is appreciated.

You're gonna have to make some decisions, I'm afraid. To unlock Jedi requires 24 skill points, so you're gonna have to take them from somewhere.

Whatever you do, you want a Level as close to 80 as you can get. Whatever your combat skills, stick to one type of combat, either ranged or melee, so that your specials are usable with whatever weapon you have.

Master Doc or CM and Swordsman would be a good combo, requiring just 198 sp to obtain, leaving you 52. Another 20 gets you novice TK leaving 32 and then its just a matter of spending the rest in TK. Then, as you need them, surrender TK skills to gain FS skills, but I'd suggest doing the more combat intensive quests first to take advantage of all that TK...

Also remember, you can unlock the lines first and gain xp without actually taking any FS skills. In this manner, you can get everything unlocked while you have the combat skills, then spend the xp. We don't really know what the FSXP cap is so I'd keep an eye on the forums for any bugs or changes if you choose this route.

Ok, just to clarify

Are you saying I can get the FS Skill boxes unlocked, but I odn't have to actually spend the xp on them right then?

Also, I've been calculating...with thecurrent skillsI have. Mastering Doc would take 28 sp, so it would drain me of all of my sp.**EDIT**I WOULD BE ABLE GET EVERYTHING IN DOC but Master Doc**EDIT** I think TKAis the same situation. Should I master TKA or Doc? Would it put me up to CL 80 (or close)?

I found this character builder thing, it says "combat upgrade" edition so I assume it is right. I had set to master doc and master swords...and I had 38 skill points left, as opposed to the 52 you said. I think you forgot about the skill points in One-Handed that you need to get Novice Swordsman

Yes, I am. The Village missions simply unlock a particular FS skill branch, you don't have to spend xp on them, although I suggest converting your regular xp to FSXP whenever you max out. To become Padawan you have to have 6 full branches, but there is nothing keeping you from waiting until you have all the branches unlocked to actually get them.

Umm, no, that I remembered, I just though Doc only took one line of medic now. Is it two lines? If so, then there is my mistake.

Its up to you to decide what template you want. While TK meditate is great, you don't really need it as a master doc, so thats one full line of TK you can do without. And to get Lvl 80, it appears that mastering any two combat professions gets you that, and Doctor is considered a combat profession now, at least in that regard.

My suggestion is to Master Doc and dabble in TK...but this is just one man's opinion. You might want to go to the Swordsman, Doctor and TK boards to see what other templates are being used.

Thanks for the suggestions. Really helped me out alot. However, I am confused about two decisions....

I have 2 templates that I need to choose from

1) Master Swords/Master Doc/Some TKA

or

2)Master Swords/Master TKA/atleast Doc 4000

Not sure which to choose...I'd get alot more melee defense/armor from TKA...but better healing capabilities from Doc

Plus, with the 2nd one, I can cap out both Two-Handed and Unarmed XP for FS xp.

Also remember..I'm choosing these from a future FS/jedi point of view

MDoc is only 2 lines of medic now instead of master medic. I'm running TK4344 Dr4334 Ent 0022 (for bonus) and still have the Medic 4442, slowly trading away the crafting line as I earn that last set of TK and Dr before master levels, shooting for MTK/MD. I really want to keep the second branch of medic, because the Infusion skill is nearly priceless in my book.... unless Doc has it someplace hiding and I haven't seen it. Current CL is 66, I expect to hit 70-71, unless master boxes confer more than 1 CL.

Doc 0004 has the buffs line, if you care about that. No other Drs in my guild, so I do, you may not. My current temp solos though, and that's a good thing for me as our guild isn't very big, and I don't know too all very many outside it yet, I've only been here since March. Play with different combinations, and find what fits you is my best advice. After all, it's a game, and we came to have fun.

I suggest option 2, simply b/c you can cap Swords and Unarmed at 1.2mil each (for a total of 2.4mil) and 10% of that will be combat xp (for a total 240k combat). When you go to turn it all in you'll get 160k FS xp (80k from your weapons which convert at a 30:1 ratio and 80k from combat which converts at a 3:1 ratio). Now, if you get something like Fencer 4/0/0/0 or Pikeman 0/4/0/0 (they don't need to be in that specific spot, but you need to have one line--that requires either one handed or polearm xp and not combat xp--completly full). Doing this will allow you to cap Polearm xp or 1h xp at 900k giving you another 30k FS xp.

another thing to consider is what branches you plan to get . . . gaining all the combat XP and weapon is great but it won't help you if you want to fill a branch is sense . . . such as Luck or persuasion.

As well, certain branches require certain skills to unlock . . .and not all are combat. Padawan requires 6 full branches to be complete (at all times) and these skills will also affect the future Jedi you will have.

I say follow your heart . . . and the will of the Force . . . it won't steer you wrong
