Force Sensitive Archive

So i looted the datapad off the sith shadows, and now i click on it, but dont get the waypoint to the sith camp...all i recieve instead is a msg saying "you cannot make sense of the information on this disk"...what am i supposed to do...also, am i still supposed to have the crystal after the encounter, because i no longer have the crystal...i was not killed and i killed both shadows before i looted...
