Thread: Worst Luck.... Ever?

So, Ive been sitting on the xp for my last branch for the last two phases, and im waiting for phase 4 to hit. I read the forums and notice no one has mentioned my server shifting so log on and travel to the village on a whim. Lo and behold I get there and theres all kinds of chaos going on, so what do i do but jump in guns blazing.
This is pretty cool, i think to myself, i can actually take on a sith thug now! Only after i kill a few i realise i havent picked up a mission yet, so off to the good Cap i trundle. Whats thisI say, Im working for someone else? So I check my quest journal like you do and I come to the conclusion that it must be bugged,I have no current quests! I remember this bug from the last phase 4 and so automatically think, "ah well, they fixed it last time they'll fix it again". Log in the next day, no deal. Day after that, the same. Reading the forums i see many others in the same spot and decide what the heck i might as well ticket it.
Several tickets and lame responses and almost a week later i decide sod it. theres only way i'll get a response, i'll make the ticket as vague as possible. Huzzah! My plan worked and with the help of two CSRs im awarded my final tree, bank the xp and sleep well knowing Im due a visit from the old codger!
22 hours later im walking across naboo, nearing my destination when i see a random GCW NPC. Observing he had one of those info signs above his head i decide to talk to him. So enraptured by our conversation i fail to notice the "other" white dot approaching me and look up in time to see the immortal words "I see you are too busy for me" flash up on the screen. Quick as a flash i radial the bugger and engage him in conversation only to have himdisappear telling me to kill someone but leaving no waypoint or any indication of where to go.
Cursing my ineptitude at seeing himtoo lateI start the long run back to my PA hall. While in the middle of nowhere about 30 minutes later, i notice this tiny speck on the distance getting closer. Yup hes back! A successfull conversation later and im all set. Time to go check out this mission.
Im pretty hyped up by this point, I figure im out in the middle of nowhere with nothing to see for miles aroundin BUT im still quite close to a major starport for when the cavalary arrives. As i start to get closer to my destination i notice a lot of lakes. Hmmmm i really hope this mission doesnt spawn in a lake. O.....k..... now buildings...... my mission should be right about.... what the..... yup smack dab right in the middle of a bunch of buildings. A space so small it doesnt even bother to spawn.
TICKET IT! cries my guild. Im still feeling pretty enthusiatic about the CSRs after the previous' day work so one ticket away. Several hours later and after furtive gazing at my monitor i notice i have mail. "Hi", says the CSR. "You've used the wrong category to report this, normally we'd love to help you out but because you havent used the right category we wont. Try resubmitting another ticket".
If i didnt know better id say Its like a sign from God telling me Im not meant to be a Jedi........

I had the same feeling when Mellichae spawned inside a building and the crystals were bugged. Submit tickets and they will get it going.

so whats supposed to happen? they move the mission someplace else?

That is what they were going to do for me...they asked me to meet at the mission WP and that they would take care of it. The first attack though...I don't think that is the same as Mel.

this happened to a friend of mine Pre Cu and after several tickets the CSR met her at the WP and moved it for her to another location. Mission spawns and she continued on

finally a response to my ticket, this time filed under the correct category i hope. "we are reviewing your issue and are unable to help out as CSRs have no way to alter the spawn of mobs or NPCs. please try and complete your mission where it is".
if i didnt have a problem with where it wasdoyou think I'D WRITE A FREAKING TICKET AND WAIT 10 HOURS FOR A RESPONSE!?!
i cant get the mission to spawn in the 3 or 4 feet between buildings you numbnuts of a CSR!

did you say that they gav you the tree without actually doing the mission? That's what it kinda looked like to me . . . . couldn't get mission . . . wrote ticket . . another ticket . . . vague ticket . . .opened tree.
did you actually kill your 50 outlaws and 25 pirates? just wondering cuase I think IMO, the comradery in between assaults was some of the most fun of the Phas and you seemed to have missed it.
Sorry about your old man issue . . . I'll keep an eye out for him though . . .when I finish the other 5 branches I need

yeah i loved the phase 4 quest last time, i was actually looking forward to doing it this time. I did actually help out a bunch of groups overthe period of 4 or 5 days i spent at the village this time roundso i suppose i must have killed the required number of sith.
anywho to update, it seems my run of bad luck is on hold for the moment as thanks to a terrific bunch of people who dont know me but answered a plea for help on the forums and through the /who command (how i love thee!) we managed to defeat Mel in an impromptu battle set up by a CSR who told me i had one crack at this else the mission would reset in its bugged state!

[hugs] Mabs...
You should have seen me for the two weeks post-CU, trying to get them to understand that I didn't need help turning on my AFK tag, I needed help finding out why the auto-response wasn't triggering when someone sent me a tell.
Personally I think understanding that a mission is bugged is just plain too complex sometimes.
