I had left for a while when the CU hit, and now that I'm back i have no idea how to get any xp! When I kill things i only get 2 points of weapon xp, and obviously no combat xp. Can anyone tell me what im doing wrong, and what I need to be doing? Thnx!

Groups are the order of the day. Groups are the best way to earn the most XP.
Your Combat Level is the most important part to getting XP. You will get 1 or 2 points of XP for any mobs that con gray. Those are usually mobs that are significantly lower than you. To get XP, you will have to find mobs that con green, blue, white, yellow, red or purple. Beware of the last two as they will definitely mess you up.
Example: you are Combat Level 60 and fight a Level 30 = 1 or 2 points XP.
Example: you are Combat Level 60 and fight a Level 58 = much more XP.
This time, when it says that you are likely to die if you fight, they mean it!
So find a hunting group and go hunting. At the Village, groups are essential now.

The Solo groups are a thing of the past now. the game is going back to its grouping roots. Jump in a group and have some fun...
