Okay so I played SWG since launch, and then in december atfer JTL comes out, I stop playing for like 4-5 months, I come back and CU had been put in place and everything is different. I start doing some quests and I finally get Glowy! YaY. Jedi Master here I come.

Well I get the visit from the Old Man. He gives me the crystal and I wait for the two Sith to ambush. Well I find the two and then they easily kill me, them being 75 and 77, and myself being 55 as TKM and no weapons or armor to rely on because everything was in the house that died while i was away. Anyways, they kill me and take teh crystal. I clone and get another visit from the Old Man, crystal again, and this time I get some help from someone to kill the two Sith. I pick up the waypoint data disk and disband. I try to use the disk and it says I can't make any sense of the info on the disk. So I scour the forums and in here someone said they did the same thing and they had to put it in their safety deposit in their bank and then it worked. So I do that and it error msg changes to you must loot it first before I can use it. Well I can't get it to work so I destroy it and try to kill more Sith that have spawned. In the course of doing so, I get incaped and my crystal is looted. I get the new data disk though. I go to use it and BAM, same error msg, you can't make any sense of the data. GRRR okay so I wait til the Old Man appears again and he gives me another crystal and I click the chat box to finish the conversation with him and then my quest log pops up and says that the Old Man and the Sith Ambush is completed. But alas my waypoint data disk, the item to send me to teh Sith Camp isn't working still. So I destroy the disk, hoping it will respawn the Sith , but it doesn't, and then I destroy the crystal, hoping it will restart the Old Man, it doesn't. UBER GRRR! I don't know what to do.
I've tried writing a in-game bug ticket to SOE, but I'm pretty sure we all know how fast thats going to get answered.

So if anyone has any ideas or info on what I can do, please let me know. I also have an email [email protected] if you have any info. Also is there any cust. serv. phone number I might be able to call? doubtful but ehh.

i had a similar problem to what you are going through. Dont sweet it. here is what to do. all things must be in order. First thing that goes into your pack is the crystal so delete any data disks that yopu have looted from the sith . Step1 get cyrstal from old man Step 2. kill lvl75 and lvl77 sith before you loot them both.[loot the datadisk]Step 3 goto Wp and kill lvl75, lvl75, lvl77 and again dont loot til all are dead.

notes:- if you get friends to help make sure they dont loot for you.

dont let npc's kill your sith else you will not be able to loot

you should never have to delete your cyrstal i beleive

my story goes like this:- old man gives me cyrstal , sith cap me and take crystal , i get up and heal then kill sith , loot disk. but i have no crystal. [this bugs the disk] so i delete disk and wait . old man gives me crystal and i go through the process again til i got it right

I did mine pre - CU, but what was said above worked for me. Dont loot the sith until there all dead, and hopefully you wont get a bugged disk. Good luck.

Well I hope I can get the Old Man to respawn and get another crystal but I just don't know if it will happen because my quest journal says it has already completed that part. See where I'm running into trouble?

I am having the exact same problem, I just made a post about it. A friend looted the data disk by accident. I deleted the crystal, not realizing the sith would come back to attack. The old man visits me now, and it says I get another crystal but dont. If you figure out how to fix this or CSR fixes it for you PLEASE let me know. I will do the same

If you get incapped, thenget up and kill them, your disk will be bugged because the crystal is gone. Delete the buggeddisk. New visit from Old Man and new visit from 2Sith willhappen again, about a day apart, sometimes less. The journal will say you've done that part of the quest already even if you haven't gotten the waypoint to the 3 sith spawn or the village, but deleting the bugged waypoint will respawn the old man and the 2 sith as many times as necessary to get your waypoint to the 3 sith spawn. The 3 sith spawn will give you your waypoint to the village. If someone not grouped with you,kills one or more of your3 sith spawn, you'll have to wait for the camp to reset itself. But don't leave the area, THAT same camp WILL respawn a new batch of 3 sith, just as if it were a nest that respawns more creatures.

Old man visitsUsually near or in player cities. I had the most luck with a large player city outside Theed, Naboo, where both the old man and the 2 sith spawned for me repeatedly.
