quenkers would be faster, only because they have lower ham and are more consistent. By consistent I mean with huurtons you get huurtons and huurton matrons from one lair, so you end up wasting c-12's on the regular huurtons where on the quenkers you will do better.
Beat the lair down to 40% so you have all 6 around you, then start chucking. If you're out in the wild, then just aggro until you have 5-6 around you and start chucking. Doing this will help you a lot.
But I also chucked grenades at everything, grassland trackers are good too, they don't use ranged attacks (so they huddle around you)and their wild lairs spawn a lot. The catch to these is to just throw two 5 use grenades and take them out the rest of the way with a weapon. The reason I only chucked 2 grenades was that I found more than that started taking too much time and I tried to always maintain a good combat xp to time ratio. So I was yeilding 1200 combat and 3000 weapons. I've been out of the village grind for a couple phases now but I remember cashing in 270k combat and 900k weapons every time during my last tree using this method.
I also see that you are rifle, when I mastered that the best/fastest xp I ever got was on endor taking out mereks since the last spawn on their lairs can produce 6-7 mereks and then one toxic battlelord. So I was getting 90k rifle off each lair. The only catch is that you would be better off with doctor, something that will also serve you well as a young padawan. So you might want to consider dropping ranger and CH for Doc 4/4/4/0.
After you do the exit quest (assuming you'll use rifle to help kill Mellichae) then you should also really consider fencer 4/0/0/0 or TKM. Bear in mind that the village grind template is not always the best template to transition into jedi with...

From what I have seen over the last couple of nights, I have used a total of about 2000 C12 grenades for about 140000 Combat XP. Which is daft. Im using at least 60-100 per lair spawn.
Im going to go back to Tatooine and hunt bantha's. They aren't as tough and I know I will get less XP, but I should be able to go through them a hell of a lot faster, and use only a couple of grenades per time to kill them, and save myself a lot of money. I should be able to do 6-8 lairs per 2-3 hours, instead of only 2 per session on Huurtons and Quenkers.
Im also guessing that I won't have to spend so much time healing up BF and wounds after hunting Bantha's than I will on Dantooine.

i used 1 crate per lair and got 68k combat
i used regular c12 700+ damage grenades
I made sure I was always targeting the lair
I made sure there were atleast 4-6 mobs out of lair b4 I started to toss
I started hunting bax nitch solo
I changed to getting a solo group and grabed kamurith snapper missions
took me 2.5-3 hours to cap combat with 5 crates of grenades

Me, too. I hunt Huurton Stalkers with C12s. Throw 3 stacks at the first spawn, kill the rest with my Gaffi or fists. After about 5-6 lairs, I'll have over 100k Combat XP plus a couple hundred 1-H and Unarmed XP. So, that's about 18 stacks, or 90 throws to get almost what you're saying you're getting after 2000 grenades. Are you getting a bunch of critters aggro'd on you, standing in the lair, attacking the lair, then start pitching at the lair? I do find I have to make sure I hit the lair a couple of times before I start throwing, else something goes screwy.

Here are very FIRM numbers on C12 grinding on Dant
Get a solo group to get lvl 99 missions.
Take 2 Hurrton stalker missions(10k on the terms MONEY SHOULDNT MATTER ITS ABOUT GRINDING) in the same direction
Target the lair and run up and hit it. This is so you wont accidently hit a hurrton and take preciouse Combat xp away.
Start tossing nades at the LAIR not the hurrtons.
There is an 8 second pause between each grenade.
It takes 12 stacks of C12s(5 per stack and 750-900 dmg) to kill the first wave. It takes aroun 8mins to finish the first wave.
once the first wave is dead you should have 35k combat xp or there abouts.
Now hit the lair with your main professiosn until its HALF dead. This triggers another respawn.
Now use 12 more stacks of nades on the lair to finish the newest wave of hurrtons. Once these hurrtons are dead...Kill the lair
You now have 70k+ combat xp, it took 16-17mins to kill the lair, and 1 crate to do it. Now continue onto your next mission. In 1hour 10mins youll have 280k+ combat xp, at this point i go trade in my xp. So if you get a 3 hour+ buff, you can max xp 2 times(well pretty close to max).
