I have been slow boating it to JEDI since the infamous Hologrind. I’m in a large group of people who love the game but don’t have the time to spend hours grinding. I’ve heard all you people talking about how easy it is to get JEDI... I beg to differ. The time spent grinding is very demanding. Many people have to set that time aside to play.

The process of making the JEDI harder only hurts those of us who take longer to get there.

This has been true SOE fashion as long as I have played any of their games. Any way they can extend a grind to anything including your normal skillsets they will do it. Jedi attainable after CU? Doubtful not in a realistic timeframe not even compaired to the holo grind.

Well there are two issues here. One of them being the definition of a casual player. To some a casual player may mean only playing 2 to 3 times a week maybe for an hour or so. If jedi was attainable to the casual player lets say after 6 months of playing, then the hardcore players would unlock it in a month and it would lead to the severe unbalance that we currently have.

I think the REAL issue is that SOE/Lucas (yes LA is involved in EVERY move this game takes) keeps changing the method which then pushes the casual player back to the beginning. If they would just keep one method in place then it would allow eventually even the casual player to unlock jedi.

MaliceMarcus hit it on the button. It is SOE/LA's fault for the constant changes, but the casual player, you and I,will always be screwed on MMORPG's because of the PowerGamers. The only way to balance that part of the equation is putting a limiton the amount of time one can play per day. Highly doubt I'll ever see that happen by any MMORPG.

btw, when I say I'm a casual player, I play 2-3 hours a day almost everyday. That may be a lot, but not in comparison to many.

That's a ton from my perspective. Still, these games have been set to the capabilities of the powergamers and lifers who put in enormous amounts of time per week into their gaming. It's old, but before I sign on for the subscription I need to assess whether taking part in the game will it still be fun or will I focus on the deficiencies due to time online. So far, so good. I'm not holding my breath to see if this will continue though. I am closer to making Jedi than I ever could have been in the hologrind system, but I now I wonder how far I have been pushed back.

dont put a time limit put a exp or whatever limit per day that would be better

I was joking about the time, but seriously, an xp cap per day would be interesting to contemplate. That makes almost everyone equal.
