I usually don’t bother to post anything unless I either have a question about something or responding to someone else post.
However, I was surprised when I had logged on and found that there are people who are experiencing a bug with the Melee quest. . I was even more surprised to see that there were quite a bit of negative comments as well, not only directed to the developer but to other posters.
I wasn’t able to finish phase quest for Melee accuracy because of the fact that it was a bit harder than I counted on, and that I wasn’t able to get anyone to assist me. Still, the fact that I wasn’t able to get any assistance doesn’t bother me and I don’t resent those who have turned me down during that time.
It’s easy blaming your problems on other people and circumstances, very easy. However, the hard challenge is working to find a solution or working to solve your problems. I know this quite well. Therefore, I still take comfort in the knowledge that I could have chosen the easier quest and preformed it, but instead I choose what I wanted. In the end this is all that really matters.
For those who are experiencing problems with the quest weather in the current phase or any phases to come. Hang in there, and don’t give up. I hope you can take comfort in knowing there are people who are on your side. The freedom to express our points and concerns are really the only effective weapon that anyone usually has and can be quite an effective way to make change possible as long as it isn’t abused.
Just remember that the developers are people too and also deserve your respect, just as others respect you.
May the force be with you, always....

Very Well put Ixtli. But I disagree with the end comment of your post. Like you said stick to it, and trust me, you will be a Padawan alot sooner than you expected. Even after they changed the way Jedi was obtainable, I never EVER EVER EVER thought I would be one, let alone an Ithorian Jedi. But now after this phase being my 5th Unlock, and only 1 more to go, things are alot closer than I would have even imagined. So, stick to it, And May the Force be with you.
I believe you can become a Jedi, the question is, do you believe?

Well said, i totally agree with everything that you wrote.
However from my point of view the case is this:
I am a customer of SOE and each month i pay them money for a product i use on a regular basis. When that product doesnt work i tell them about it and ask them to fix it (like so many others). Now some people post less constructive comments than others and that's never gonna help solve the problem at hand. But neither is the fact that the devs and community respondents havent posted anything in the past 3 (4?) days to ease our confusion and distress. No fix, no word of a fix or even a word that they have understood our situation and are currently working on the problem.
In my eyes this isnt the way to treat your customers. If my car breaks down and i leave it in the shop knowing what the problem is and then dont hear a word from the people working in the shop i'm gonna be frustrated and try to get in contact with them as they obviously arent trying to contact me. And people like that dont have my respect. So at this moment the developers dont have my respect at all. This is not the way to run a company and treat your paying customers. Without us they wouldnt have a house to live in or food to eat (drama-queen!). So act up developers, this whole situation has been handled very badly.

I agree that quests being hard is not a hugeissue. The fact that they are unballenced I think is an issuethough. Had there been any other questsother than melee accuracy that were unaatainable by solo means (or at least extremely difficult) you would not have a problem finding a group to do the quest with as it wouyld havebeen common to have groups onquests. but as this was laid out this is the only quest I have not been able do solo and it was near impossible to get enough people together at the same time to put in the time required to pull it off. I got 1 or two chances to tryit withenough people to complete it butwe were not familliar with how itneeded to be "worked" so it was a waste of everyones time and they were less willing to help the next time. Also, when a bug more or less puts your $15 a month subscrtiption in the toilet for two months that is not acceptable.
Other than the current bug I don't think criticism is negative, it is cristisism. I will say that having your unlock nerfed by a bug is unacceptable. It will probably be fixed in a matter of days but the damage was done. I do not think there would be as much comment/flaming/negativity if this had not happened before. Unfortunatley these "bugs" are becomming all too common and the criticism will only get worse as this current issue has not even been "officially" recognised as far as I can see. I got a message to check the forums when I reported it yet I see nothing about a solution.
my 2 cents

You weren't able to find any help? You probably didn't look in the right place. Send an in game email to Revelation or Gunar when phase three comes around again.Either one of us wouldbe happy to help you.
