Thread: Problem With Finishing Melee Defence Quest

Im having a Problem with finishing the Melee Defence quest...
its told me i have completed the quest but when i return to the guy he says...:-
"I Knew i picked the right person for this, I just knew it! . The mercinarys and pirates are cursing you name this very miniute. youve almost finished what ive asked you to do, All you need to do now is get out there and complete this mission. Good luck, Soldier!
so i go out and kill thugs and outlaws till i drop go back i recieve the same message also there is no more countdown on the killing ever since i "completed the quest"
so i filied a ticket a csr comes on and tells me to keep trying and check the launchpad for updates
i did say the very least he could do was to reset the quest for me but aprently they cannot do that :'-(
if anybody is experiencing this same bug could they please tell me im feeling so alone :-(

Are you sure you killed outlaws and pirates, thugs don't count for anything. Go kill a pirate and see what the message is. I do wish we had a counter on how many is left, without having to kill something.

well i did because it told me id finished the quest
must just be a bug or somthing just hoping somebody else has been getting this problem because i have a feeling if its just me the csr's wont do a thing

Well count yourself lucky you were able to start the quest lol.
Last time around I had a similar problem when i thought I had finished the quest but I had only completed the first part. It is actually split into 2 sections, you gotta kill 20 Pirates and then 30 of a different type - leave the Thugs alone until you have to deal with them
The wording doesn't make it so clear.
I forget what the other type are but there are only 3 or 4 different spawns so cann't be too tricky to work out & perhaps someoone with a better memeory can confirm for me.

Talk to the guy that you unlock reflexes with and i bet you can train in it if you have enough XP. BTW, its Defense.

there a bug with the capt . i cant even take the mission as he says i have already finished the mission but i dont get to unlock
guess im just up the old SOE sol creek with a novice paddle maker

Afraid that's not a bug, read the text again. He says you need to complete the mission. Kill a pirate like someone else suggested and see what the counter says. The darn pirates are a pain to find in quantity.
