Bubba I wouldn't just sit and put your feet up for 3 weeks if you aren't going to do any of the quests in this first phase. I'd get straight to work on converting your xp. As I have heard there isn't a solid cap on FS xp so just keep on keeping on till phase 2, then do your quest, learn what skill boxes you can and then get back on the grindstone.

Now if you want, you can unlock a branch, just to unlock it. You don't have to fill a branch just b/c you unlock it. Check some of the other posts on what the current rewards are this phase, maybe you'll see something interesting, and then go for it. Won't hurt you.

I too, upon, my first visit to the village had the same thoughts. I didn't want any of the phase 1 branches, but I thought hey, what the heck, that banner sure would look nice for my Jedi shrine. So I completed the Ranged Accuracy quest given from the Captian. No harm, no foul. And now I have a cool little banner flowing in my house.

Wow, it's gonna take you forever to complete that template. As you can only take one tree/phase you'll need to wait through 2 full cycles of the village (3wks/phase*4 phases*2 cycles=24wks (6 months)). You'd probably be better off just taking something in phase 1 so that you can start the process. If you are set on this template, then yes, put your feet up for 3 weeks and just grind, grind, grind and convert, convert, convert.
