I realise you want to be visited by him. However, there's one thing to understand...
It will happen, but don't expect it to be immediate. Don't expect it to be 24 hours, don't expect it at any specific time.
It will happen when it happens. Patience is a virtue. Be patient and wait it out, it will happen but not on your terms, he'll visit you eventually.
Some people have waited a week, some have been lucky enough to only wait a few hours.

Unless you're bugged, in which case he never comes 
A friend of mine is waiting for her 2nd visit still 2+ weeks after training her last box.

I finished my 6th branch yesterday around 8:30 am and my old man visit came around 3pm. I did the shuttling around trick.
