Thread: Most efficient use of C-12 grenades?
I've read through the enormous guide to C-12 grenades thread and I'm still a little unclear of a few points. First, I'm not sure how some people are claiming to finish off an entire nest by only using 5 stacks (25 grenades). Quenkers, for example, go down fairly easily, but I still end up using an entire crate of grenades on them. And even after that I have to cleanup the leftovers and the nest with melee.
Part of the problem seems to be that I can only keep so many mobs agro at once. Even if I were to tap the nest to release the second spawn, and then hammer away for the third spawn (which I'm not sure is possible with the critters healing), only X amount of quenkers would stay agro and the rest would roam around until one of their family members died and they felt comfortable enough to jump in. So how could I possibly kill so many of them with so few grenades?
I'm just trying to figure out the most efficient use of the grenades over time. In my mind it would seem smartest to only use the C-12s on the first two groups since I could kill the maximum agro in one round. Then, finish the final round and the nest with melee. I'm new to the whole C-12 tactic though so my thinking could obviously be flawed. I'd love to hear some opinions from players that use the C-12 grenade technique and consider their process "well oiled."
Thanks much for any help!
