just logged in this morning (Ahazi) and got this message. i'm assuming that the phase has shifted, but i know that i've *not* failed this task. i already unlocked the novice box and am close to filling the first box for melee defense.
has anyone else had this problem?
the fact that the system still thought i was doing this quest may have had something to do with the fact that i couldn't start any of the rebel corvette missions after i finished the village quest for phase 4. i always got the message that i was already working for someone else (i.e., doing another quest).
thanks for your help on this.

as far as i know, pretty much everyone i spoke to got this message, it is some kind of bug because everyone also said they completed the quest. just ignore it and continue as normal

check the sticky on the FS FAQ at the top of this FS forum for more info. there's no reward, unfortunately, for the melee defense choice. oh well.

if you did the melee defense side of the quest, you recieve no reward. there is none. just the unlocking of the tree. the ranged one has a piece of aurillian sculpture.

We completed our quest, so we got the unlock, no problem there. I'm pretty sure it's just an explaination as to why the village is now destroyed (by the Sith)...a bit of immersion on the Dev's part.

This isn't a bug. You completed your mission from the NPC so you were given your unlock, however, so the storyline/phase can progress you have to fail which is why the walls crumble and the sith progress further into the village. I guess they should have worded the system message a little better.

ok. that makes some sense...
...but, i should still be able to begin the corvette quests after i completed the village mission, right? i shouldn't be marked as "still working on another quest" until the next phase shift, in my opinion. if you complete your village quest in the first few days after the shift, then you should be able to take on other non-village quests before the next phase shift.
