Before you read! I apologize if this post is already somewhere on the forums. If you could post a reply with a link to a similar topic I'd appreciate it.

I've heard and am under the impression that the speed cap on rifles is +97. That means +7 in speed attachments. That would lead me to beleive that the force sensitive Ranged Speed is a useless skill, BUT, it doesn't say +3 Ranged Speed it says +3 Enhanced ranged speed. That only leads me to wonder more things. Does this mean you can have a double cap and get to +109 speed on rifles?Another thing is since the force sensitive system is very unclear, could one Enhanced Ranged Speed convert to +.5 Ranged Speed?

Basically, I would like to know if a master rifleman, with +7 in attachments, and force-sensitive Ranged Speed 4 actually can tell the difference.

If anyone can help me to understand this, I'd truly appreciate it before I waste tons of time and experience on the skill.

Hello,

for what I understood u will get some benefit for pistols, carbines and rifles even if the stats will say "Enhanced ranged speed". After filling the boxes try to see if it's working or not and let me please know. U should be able to notice the difference since the rifleman is not capped in speed like tka

If I'm not wrong every fighting weapons have a cap at 120 speed, not less. Am I wrong?

The fact that is still not clear to me is why I'm shotting faster my rifle (T21) after having filled "Enhanced melee speed" ... and I can say for sure that I shot faster as I'm rifleman since ages. I took the swordsman profession to see if it's working for melee and yes, it's faster also the hammer.

DUNNO! ?? comments?

Ranged Speed SHOULD add the bomus to any ranged weapon. A +3 of Enhanced Randed Speed SHOULD be the same of having a +3 speed attachement.
I said SHOULD because actually both Ranged Speed and Ranged Accuracy are broken and the bonus is not considered at all, instead it appears that Melee Speed and Melee Accuracy give the relative bonus to both Melee and Ranged.

Every profession caps its attacks when reaching the 100 speed mark (it's actually less for each profession, but at 100 it's guaranteed by the formula). The FS branch for ranged speed IS bugged. Some say it's not, that it doesn't actually work just by adding the extra +12 to your profession weapon speed, but that's not true. I can't prove it but neither can they. The fact of the matter is there is no difference whatsoever with or without the enhanced ranged speed (did a lot of testing), so even if the +12 is not added to my rifle speed, there should be SOME visible difference, otherwise what's the point in it ? Not to mention that melee speed is actually added to the weapon speed (melee speed does work), unfortunately not only melee weapons speed, but also ranged weapons speed as well at the moment (bug).

So to sum it up, ranged speed still doesn't work and melee speed works for both melee and ranged weapons
