I hope that got your attention, cause I really would like some help.

I was away for a month during the summer, incidently the month that held the big-change from ProfGrind to Aurillia. So I've got a pair of questions that no one else seems to have the time of day/give a sh!t about answering me. (I'm on Bloodfin, no big surprise.)

  1. For the Free Unlocks: I've been told that you are given an abundance of XP to train in. How much are you given? Is there any left over? (I've got five.)

  2. Is it possible to get a Second Slot still?

Thanks in advance for your help.

1) You get enough FS xp to train your free unlock branches to their 4th box.

2) You get the second slot once you complete the padawan trials.

I'm on bloodfin as well, though I didn't get any free unlocks and am looking toward at least 4 months before I get to attempt the exit quest. I've done a fair bit of reading on the fs/jedi stuff, and if you have any other questions (and you can't find the information in the stickies) you can contact me in game with it.

For the xp, they give you enough to tran that tree plus 50k for novice of that prof. so if you do like i did and get 2 trees in combat prowess, youd end up with an extra 50k.

Since noone has said it:

1) Read the FAQ
2) Do one unlock, and then go train novice and 4 boxes. You are given max out XP. If you unlock more than one at a time, guess what, you just pissed away 1.25 Million Force XP.
3) Just to repeat. Unlock, train 4 boxes. Unlock, train 4 boxes.

make sure you plan wich ones you take. pick one of the skills that is avalible this phase to unlock through the quest and use the free unlocks on any other branches you want. timeing may be difficult sence you get the unlock from an NPC at the center of the village but get training from an NPC at the edge of village so try to get there between waves.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

Well how about I do one branch of something I can unlock now, or whenever, and then once I have that THEN I use my free unlocks?

This is pretty damn confusing sometimes.

You can do that if you like.

The reason that some people were losing 1.25 mil FS xp with their unlocks, was because they tried to unlock two or more branches in the same tree at the same time... such as ranged defense and melee defense. They're both in the same tree, and the FS xp cap for any tree is 1.25 million.

As long as you were unlocking branches in different trees, like say melee defense and melee speed, you can unlock multiple branches and not lose any XP.

Hmm I had about 4.1 million reflex xp just the other day. I'm down to 3ish now that I spent onmy 4thbranch. I think the cap is the cost of 4 branches, or 5ish mil.

Man. I knew some things about the way this part of FS worked but not all of it. This is good info for anybody to know.

Why risk it? I mean the guy you train the skill boxes in is less than 100m away? CSR's won't help at all if your gamble fails. Unlock, train, unlock, train. Just do it. DO it.
