Thread: Sabers at FS

Besides there are enough sabers flowing around to hear that snap-hiss everywhere you go these days.
i played the jedi knight game with kyle katarn he was a fallen jedi, therefore he had all the training but he wasn't recognized as a jedi any longer.
and all han did was switch it on and cut something open really quick, in reality a beam of light would have no weight to balance it and give it any sort of momentum so i suppose the force is necessary to swing them with the balance needed to connect and do the right damage, otherwise you could hurt yourself.
who knows though...
Your forgetting, none of those people built there sabres, and that is what you'd have to do to get one as they're non-tradable.
Kyle Katarn uses a sabre that belonged to a friend of his fathers (forget name, you see him killedat the beginning of Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight)
Han Solo obviously borrowed Luke;s.
Luke used his father's old one until he was a Padawan himself and built a new one.
Corran Horn used his grandfather's.
It's only from recovered information, Obi-wan's book, holocrons etc that the first Jedi knew how to build them at all and obviously taught the rest of you!

Yea well this is why they only let you play the game... and not control it!
Besides there are enough sabers flowing around to hear that snap-hiss everywhere you go these days.
but in dark forces you went to the valley ofthe jedi or something like that place. And kyle got his force powers there. But anyways back to the topic lightsabers have nothing to do with the force the only thing the force can do for the lightsaber user is allow lightsaber throw and having it come back, other then that the lightsaber can be weilded by any male or female thing....besides a rancor or anything like that lol a rancor with a ls lol that would be fun. Anyways the only thing is the force also helps the user by guiding him such as giving him confidence and preventing him from cutting his own legs and arms off...for example luke with the blast shield down with the helmet on, he said he could feel the force which points out that is basicly guides the user on where the target is and the actions that you can do to protect yourself or attack that target.
Basicly the force is just a targeting device and without it you might as well leave your ls at home because it wont help you much. Kyle as you play him he basicly cant use the saber that well in the game such as you cant switch the use of the saber and also cant do tricks with it aka saber throw and that is why after you get the saber in the game he goes straight for the temple to get the force powers.
Now for swg i dont think fs should get ls even though they wont but still they are basicly people that are just wondering around feeling bits of the force in them but do not know what the feeling is until they understand it aka the village teachings. Now once you get your next level and start the paddy trials then you should be able to use your ls but a training one because you know the force but just dont know how to use it yet. At this point you can craft a saber but you cant use it which i believe is a problem, people say this is a bug and that you should be able to use your first ls even if you havent completed all the trials yet, i agree to them on that. The thing is when you get your first ls you cant use it because you dont have a force bar which is now the confusing part because by that point you understand the force and you should be able to have your force bar up but of course you dont. By the end of the trials you get your bar but the ls you crafted in the trials is now useless because you can use better sabers and craft better ones.
