I have just become glowy and had the visit from the old man, so i thought cool can try Jedi now. That is untill i got my &%## handed to me on a plate by the two sith shadows that turned up just as i was about to kill some tuskens lol. I am only a CL31, now i know to dispatch these two sith shadows i will need to wait till im a higher CL (with i dont mind having fun playing my chacter as he is so no problem there). The thing i need to know is as i told the old man (on his second visit after getting whooped) that i was not intrested at the moment ( did not want to get constantly jumped by the two sith shadows). So question will the old man come back from time to time to check if im ready yet, or is there something else i will need to do to reactivate him. my status is still glowy as i just checked.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I had the same problem. I believe the Old Man should come back very soon. There's nothing really specific you have to do, other than the regular stuff that brings him. Make sure you're not in an NPC city and (supposedly) shuttling helps. From my experience, if you accept the Old Man's mission again, the Sith will come sooner than they did the first time after the first visit from the Old Man.

Also, if you're too low to handle the Sith I recommend keeping your on-screen map up while waiting for them. When you see the two red triangles pop up, hit burstrun and make for the closest shuttle (make sure you already have the ticket) and head to an NPC city. Then, just recruit a high-level friend to group up with you. Head back out to any player city and the Sith will respawn in a few minutes. Just make sure that after killing them, YOU loot the corpses, and not your grouped friend.

wait for the old man to come back, then just grind in a group and hope the sith turn up while doing that, so you will get help. or, sit in your house, /afk, come back and if your sith are there, get help

this is honestly why i think they should make getting FS harder, partly so the new players are more prepared for the village

I agree about the making it a bit harder to become glowy, it sort of just happened. Wasnt planning on becoming a Jedi still not sure if i want to, although i am a player who loves playing broken professions. Been a smuggler since Beta lol, lost my old account (divorce agggggg lol) so when i got a new account went straight back to leveling a smuggler again. i so love pain .

I think the main problem that has made it to dam easy is including the newbie badges in mos eisley as content that counts towards content. As it stands now i managed to get glowy with out grouping once for anything did it all solo. Went glowy right after redoing the professions quests after they fixed them.

But hey was still cool having the old man visit.

And thanks for the advice its appreciated.

You won't really want to beat the Sith until you are CL80. If you cant beat 2, then you won't like the fact that you have to kill 4-5 at the camp the waypoint sends you too. Not to mention, when you get to the village, if you want to do the quests where you have to kill more Sith, you will either want to be CL80, or have a CL80 babysit you throughout these kill quests.

Fully agree, read all the info on the village quests and sort of came to the same conclussion. Going to wait till i get back into the game a bit, got enough to do getting my character the way i want and completing my space pilot skill. and on top of that running two accounts so i got a artisan alt. All of which keeps me busy enough, just wanted to check the option is open to me in the future when i might want to go for Jedi ( well dev changes permitting lol). Thanks for the advice though.
