Thread: Whip Quest bug

Ok so I was to say the least a little disturbed with the solo group mission payout nerf.....
So I decided to take my mind off of it and do a village quest. I talked to Whip and went off to find a villager. Well, I found him, in a big rock and I couldnt talk to him. Sent in a ticket, still no reply. Chatted with a CSR from the SOE site. He said to log for a while and come back. Well I did it, and..... the villager is gone but my WP is still in the same spot, and Whip wont give me a new mission.
So now I am screwed I guess till an ingame CSR decides to fix it for me?

I had a bugged mission where the imprisoned villager wouldn't talk to me. I got myself incapped and failed the mission. After that, Whip gave me a new waypoint. I don't know if this will work in your case but it is worth a try.

Can't you just return to the village without him and get a mission failed? You may not be able to if you have to talk to him first, but just a suggestion. You may have to wait till server reset and see if he spawns away from the rock.

just go get incapped near the wp, most the creatures there dont DB, mine was standing in a tree..not a rock. So either get incapped, it fails the mission and whip gives a new wp...or drop a tent as close to the NPC as you can to despawn the rock / tree.

Same thing happened to me, villager wouldn't speak to me, so I quit and logged back in again to find the villager now gone. I decided to put a report in about it, but I got no reply, so I tried to speak to a CSR in chat, but found out that they were as helpful as the non speaking villager. I then left the planet annoyed at not being able to do the mission and then went back to dath 10 minutes later to find that I no longer had the mission and went back to Whip and he said I failed and gave me a new mission, problem solved and I never had a another problem after that.

I left the planet and log'd for the night. Got on this morning and went back to the village. Mission failed, here is a new one. It just frustrates me to no end, all the bugs, and lack of in game CSR response.
